What happened at Futrinka during week 20?

 Raising awareness is highly important for our Association, but unfortunately we did not have a volunteer for this task yet. From now on Viki and Miss Rugó undertake an hour now and then!

This week we held a presentation for class 1/b at the Szent István Elementary School of Szigethalom.

The kids had already been waiting eagerly for us, giving us a warm welcome with loud cheering and sparkling eyes. We were talking about the shelters, about why a dog is considered chanceless, why it is important to help them, how we are doing it at Futrinka and who has an adopted dog.

Rugi presented her tricks, stole the children’s heart and I do hope she has changed the stereotype many times already visible at childhood, holding a mixture dog not valuable and also proclaiming that the rescued, many times already adult dogs cannot be developed.

We have received the most precious feedback from a very active little boy, whose attention was quite difficult to keep. For the rounding-trick of Rugi (jumping over my hands forming a round) he told us: „I could watch this for a thousand years.’

I thank very much for the teacher, Ildikó Szabó for her unbelievably positive, supportive and professional attitude – a very good feeling to still have teachers like her. I guess it tells all that for the Maths class following our presentation she has prepared with dog-tasks to catch the attention of the kids.

The mixture dogs might be of the same value for the future generation as their pure-breed mates. Anyway, we do believe the chance can also be created for the dogs starting their lives with a handicap for any reason, even if it takes more time.

Let’s start right away with Állas Morzsi, for whom we are also looking for a temporary adoptive as a solo dog, because unfortunately he does not get on well with other dogs. This week he underwent neutralization, meaning he could get adopted right now. His infection-caused atrophied head muscles are nicely building back.

Belli, the old stafford lady went to an endoscopy-intervention this week, as had mechanical reasons behind her cough. She took the operation well, is calmly recovering at her temporary adoptives. The old lady, rescued from Illatos út is a real treasure: she is getting on well with everyone, is friendly with other dogs as well, a well-trained one.

Zomé, the Mommy of Farsang-breed, already freed from her parental duties, could undergo neutralization. This was our last to-do thing regarding her, nothing could stop her now in becoming owned. A small-size dog, used to live inside.

Two of the Farsang-puppies are still waiting for their owners: Zila and Zazi, both of them ladies. In order to start their family socialization, they were moved to one of our indoor pansion-places, but are still looking for owners.

The week of Dachshund-breed rescue started off with a sad piece of news: Gombfoci passed away. She was not doing well lately, transfusion could not help her either. Her battle is over now. She used to be a ticking time-bomb for her 8th blood-coagulation factor, but we still believed somehow she could find happiness. The long life she deserved was not given her. We are very sorry.

We planned several vet treatments for the week. Leto, our rescued one for Szerencs got neutered, the operation ran him badly down, but we do hope he will soon get over it. This week he met ownership-candidates as well, but to get it official, he needs to pass a cat-test as well…

Zsuzsu also got neutered, some breast-tumours also had to be removed of her. After the operation she moved to one of our pansion-accommodations, to be waiting comfortably for her future owner.

There were several things to do with Aunt Monki besides her neutralization. A serious abdominal hernia needed to be replaced, also an X-ray was taken on her back, as her legs stand in a strange way and her way of moving is not always synchronized. Aunt Monki took the operation successfully.

Gurtni’s sexual male – nature is also over, which is a great piece of news, as when we took him from Illatos út with bleeding ear-ends and in such a bad condition, we could hardly believe we would reach this point. Gurtni’s soul recovered nice and together with it his healing could also start.

Two other dogs were also visitied this week, Fickó became adoptive-candidate as well, on Zádor Kunca we are still waiting for the feedback, but we cross our fingers for him very much.

Luckily this week we had protegees getting adopted as well. Szoszonja moved to Szeged, and though she had waited for a long time to find her ideal family, it was really worth taking the time for this ex-propagation lady.

Aunt Maza, the old wire-haired lady was „reserved” last week, but being newly operated the time would not have been ideal for her to move. This week it happened as well, she is adopted now.

After more than a year we managed to find a loving family for Réti, thanks to our German partner organization. Back then Réti arrived from the Csongrád flaying house, was treated with heartworms, then got her breastlines removed on both sides because of her tumours. Now a young couple has showed up for her, by whose side she can live an active life as a solo dog – almost never being left alone.

Dachshund breed rescue held its general assembly this week, Mónika Lengyel was elected the new head of the organization. From this time on she is responsible for handling the cases related to Dachshunds in need.

Luckily every week has its adoptees at our vizsla breed rescue group, meaning the balance between arrivals and leavers starts to get balanced – behind a week like this a lot of organization is hidden, we do hope to keep this tendency up.

This week we could finally eot Bekő neutered, everything went well during the operation, now he is recovering at his temporary adoptives. Slowly he is growing up at our care, but it should really be not the case – now he is absolutely ready to find his final owners.

The male vizsla found around Hegyesd, among the cars got back to his original owner.

Agustin arrived at our care from a rural flaying house, got everyone off their feet by her kind nature – no wonder she could leave the kennel row behind. She was adopted temporarily, but if everything goes right, her contract’s status will soon change to a permanent one.

Agustin’s place was not left empty for long, to fill her place Filkó, the appr. 8-year-old Hungarian vizsla male arrived from his previous owners.

Thanks to our foreign partner organizations two of our protegees could start their new lives: Vizsu and Késmárk.

Uncle Rex’s family decided on moving, but left their elderly dog, living together with them all his life, out of their plans. He was left behind, living lonely in the yard that used to be filled with life. We placed him at an adoptive, when gets reassured, we will get him checked-up, to see if his health condition is in order, as his joints are not that good yet.

The owner of the young vizsla-mixture male found in Kartal is yet unknown, he had not been microchipped. His founders could not ensure his keeping any longer, hence he got to our care, we are still looking for his original owner.

The first puppy to leave the E-family was a young guy, Evan – starting his new life in a loving family.

This week the Great Dane breed rescue got a „tiny” silky-haired puppy to his new family. Babilon was unfortunately born blind, this way noone showed up for him in Hungary. Luckily our German partner organization came to our help and Babilon could right away travel to his new family.

Mi történt a Futrinka Egyesületnél a 24. héten?

A héten ismét kilátogatott kennelsorunkra a Citi Magyarország önkéntes csapata. Több védencünket is elvitték egy jó hosszú sétára, sőt volt olyan kutyánk, aki még a patakban is megmártózott. Mindenki kellemesen elfáradt, de azért a csapat még napellenzőket is felszerelt a kennelekre. Nagyon-nagyon köszönjük nekik.

Emellett tárgyi adományokat is kaptunk: száraztápokat, vitaminokat és egy karomvágó ollót.

Ezen a héten a Százhalombattai Széchenyi István Szakközépiskola és Gimnáziumtól kaptunk felkérést Rugóval, hozzájuk látogattunk el. A korosztály a megszokottnál idősebb volt, 17-18 éveseknek meséltünk a Futrinka életéről, azon belül is az Esélytelen keverékekről. Szerencsére sok diák ismert már minket, néhányan már a kennelsoron is jártak, mint sétáltatók. Köszönjük a meghívást és a szervezést M. Viktor tanár úrnak!

Megdöbbentő állapotú kutya került az alap csoportunk gondozásába. Parfüm nénit Surány mellett szedte össze az egyik segítőnk. A kutyán alig van szőr, tele volt bolhával még így is, és a hátán egy kisebesedő daganat is éktelenkedett. Kórházba került, ahol a gyulladt és cisztákkal teli méhét azonnal kioperálták, illetve így már a hátán lévő daganata sincs többé. A szövettani eredményre még várnunk kell. Parfüm jó eséllyel demodexes, a kezelését megkezdtük. A kórházat elhagyhatta, de csak panziós helye akadt, továbbra is ideiglenes befogadót keresünk számára. Elméletileg Parfümnek van gazdája, de aki mellett ilyen állapotba kerülhet egy kutya, az nem tekinthető annak...

A szerencsi állatvédőktől vettünk át egy bántalmazott tacskó keverék kant, aki már a sokadik Morzsink lett volna, így Mozi néven vettük őt nyilvántartásba. Ideiglenes befogadóhoz került, ahol az ütések helyett most sok-sok szeretettel hozzuk őt formába. Jó lenne, ha gyorsan gazdisodhatna, megszenvedett érte.

Monki néni PCR eredményét vártuk a hétre, mert a vizsgálataikor microfilariákat láttak a vérében, de valami zavar történt, a minta elveszett. Újra neki kell futnunk a vizsgálatnak...

Végre nálunk is vége a Karácsonynak! Az utolsó Karácsony alomtag is kirepült: Kaland-Holly végre révbe ért. Reméljük, hogy most már csak jó híreket hallunk erről a csapatról, mindannyian megérdemlik a boldogságot.

A tacskó fajtamentés egy elég sűrű hetet tudhat maga mögött. Az érkezők mellett sajnos volt egy többszörös visszatérőnk is, de hogy jó hírünk is legyen, akadt egy gazdijelöltesünk is.

A hét elején  egy Egerből érkező fiatal tacskó keverék kannal gazdagodtunk, akinek még sokat kell tanulnia, hiszen eddigi életéből sajnos sok dolog kimaradt.

Cakkoskát Kaposváron találta egy örökbefogadónk, az autóút és a sínek között feküdt sokkos állapotban, sérülten

A kedves, 4-5 éves rövid szőrű tacskó keverék szuka azonosító chippel nem rendelkezett, sebeit műtéttel helyre hozták.

14 napig eredeti gazdáját keresi, ideiglenes befogadónál került elhelyezésre.

Rosé, a múlt héten érkezett törpe szálkás szőrű tacskó szuka eredeti gazdája jelentkezett. A szükséges iratokkal bizonyította, hogy ő a tulajdonos, amit Rosé is alátámasztott: már a kocsi érkezésekor rohant a család elé. A gazdinak próbáltuk felhívni a figyelmét, hogy vigyázzon jobban a kutyájára, mert rosszabbul is végződhetett volna az eset. Reméljük, megfogadja a tanácsainkat. A kis csavargó az éjszakát már otthonában tölthette.

Zsuzsu, a szőke mindig mosolygós szálkás szőrű tacskó keverék szuka gazdijelöltes lett a héten, hamarosan csodaszép helyre költözik.

Sajnos a héten is volt egy visszatérőnk, Túrás, aki nem túl szerencsés a gazdisodásban. Reméljük, most már nem kell sokáig várnia a végleges és tökéletes gazdára.

Perje, a 3 éves szálkás szőrű tacskó kan szeretett gazdája egy éve meghalt, a család elfoglaltsága miatt nem tudott vele foglalkozni, ezért segítséget kértek a számára, így most mi keressük számára az igazit.

Ámika, a 2-3 hónapos tacskó keverék szuka Füzesabonyból érkezett a gondozásunkba, oltási programját megkezdjük, reméljük minden rendben lesz vele, és hamarosan jöhetünk friss hírekkel róla.

Vizsla fajtamentő csoportunknál ez a hét első sorban az orvosi dolgokról, s az ezzel járó szervezésekről szólt, több védencünk is kivizsgáláson járt: szívféreg tesztek, laboros vérvizsgálatok, ivartalanítások történtek.

Kartal és Horáció rutin szívféreg tesztje negatív lett, így mindketten átestek az ivartalanításon. A műtét során minden rendben ment, befogadójuk otthonában lábadoznak.

Juna rutin szívféregtesztje viszont pozitív lett, esetében meg kell kezdenünk a szívféreg elleni kezelést.

Doktor úr a hét elején szerető családra talált, sok kirándulásban és szeretetben lesz része gazdái oldalán.

Lesifüles korábbi tulajdonosaitól került a gondozásunkba, az érkezése után általános orvosi vizsgálaton vett részt, a szemei gyulladtak, a lába sebes. A laboros vizsgálat alapján kiderült, hogy bőrférges, így ennek kezelését meg kell kezdenünk.

Az E-család mamája, Elvira rutin szívféreg tesztje negatív lett, így áteshetett az ivartalanításon. A műtét rendben ment, ideiglenes befogadója otthonában lábadozik.

A tervek szerint a hét elején elkészült volna a Muki-család játszótere, de a sors közbeszólt, és az alapanyagokat szállító fuvaros rosszul lett, s kórházba került. Mielőbbi jobbulást kívánunk neki!

A játszótér végül a hét második felében elkészült, köszönjük a Bau-Styl Kft. építőanyag kereskedésnek az alapanyagok felajánlását, kollegáiknak a szervezést, a babákat befogadó család szüleinek pedig, hogy összeszerelték és elkészítették számukra!

Több védencünknek is készült laboros vérvizsgálat: Csocsó, Csupi, Maximilian, Bendi, Bengó és Filkó, az eredményekre még várnunk kell néhány napot.

Édi tulajdonosaitól került a gondozásunkba, egy családi panzióban került elhelyezésre. Nagyon szökős kutya hírében áll, ezért most a biztonságos élet, és az emberekkel való kötődés kialakítása a legfontosabb feladatunk.

A füzesabonyi állatvédőktől került a gondozásunkba Sam és Sofi, karanténban helyeztük el őket. Nagyon bízunk benne, hogy a következő hetek nyugodtan fognak telni, s nem a betegségekkel kell megküzdeniük a csöppségeknek.

Tücsök bácsi kivizsgáláson járt, sajnos továbbra sem tudják, hogy mi okozza a remegését, és hogy séta közben eldől. Fizikai elváltozás nincs, készítettek neki labort, ez alapján sem indokolja semmi az állapotát. Muszáj megtalálnunk az okát, így a jövő héten CT-re és ultrahangra kell mennie, mert a kisöreg nagyon nincs jól.

Pili a hétvégén útra kelt, hogy végleges családjához költözhessen. Egy szerető család oldalán folytatja tovább életét, sok mozgásban és aktív életben lesz része.

A német dog fajtamentéshez a héten egy régi-régi védencünk került vissza.

Pepe, a mi rutinos futrinkás német vizsla keverékünk két és fél év után ismét gazdát keres. Annak idején másfél évig volt a gondozásunkban, azóta már megőszült és egy kicsit totyogóssá is vált. Sosem volt egy problémamentes kutya, de mi hisszük, hogy őt is várja valahol egy álomcsalád, ahol idős korát szeretetben és kényelemben eltöltheti.

What happened at Futrinka during week 19?

We had several more serious vet cases during this week, making us quite moody with our other things to do. We are over a not too happy week…

Uncle Gondolom Rezső, after producing a valuable blood formation and having some skin lumps to get rid of, went to be neutered – resulting in an abdominal operation to remove the huge tumour grown on his spleen. Rezső woke up nice, gets food five times a day since the operation, so that his stomach does not get twisted inside the space created suddenly. He is accepting the good-quality alu-tray or small cans at the kennel row in Tárnok, he is completely mad about them.

Állas Morzsi could leave the hospital, but needs to take antibiotics for his salivary glands inflammation. Unfortunately he soon turned out not to get on well with other dogs, hence his current placement is not suitable, we are urgently looking for a temporary adoptive or an owner for him.

To move his socialization forward BioBatyu moved to the kennel row, where more people can train him in a more targeted way. His socialization is unfortunately very insufficient, hence he is a very shy, lost one.

Luckily we can also spread the word on two adoptions. Szimi could finally leave the kennel row, her new family being extremely happy to have her with them. We feel the same, as this wounded-eyed black mixture protegee of ours has finally found her owners.

And when it comes to black dogs, we did not stop at one, Szutyó also became owned. Now he is living near Passau.

Dachshund breed rescue is in pain. It is a miracle in itself when someone would like to adopt an old dog, but if the chosen one also has epilepsy, ownership is surely out of question. Masa still could have done it, but the night before her journey weather fronts were coming and going, resulting in her having seizures all night long. Her tired, old body could not bear it any longer. Masa has left us just before getting adopted…

Her namesake, the also veteran Maza underwent neutralization and also found ownership candidates, she needs to wait a week to move.

Our headcount lowered with two other wire-haired Dachshunds. Bora, the wire-haired mini Dachshund was adopted for the fourth time now. We do hope it is the final one. Of course it was not her fault previously either – when we examine bonding, there is something really wrong with people these days…

 

Fregoli has also found his owners, will accompany another wire-haired Dachshund. His new adoptives give regularly news of him and we are happy to see how fast he fitted in. This is his second adoption arranged by Futrinka.

Gadget also joined the group of returnees, this week his Pentecost kingdom was over, he came back to us. The reason was his bad behaviour with the previous dogs of the family. Gadget is looking for an owner again.

Unfortunately this week the abscessed wound of Gombfoci started bleeding. Back then we trusted and believed in him getting better.

We always try to pre-think and schedule the happenings of the week forward, but non-expected tasks always show up. Our vizsla breed rescue enlarged with a non-planned family this week, besides the planned arrivals and adoptions.

Csokitó arrived at our care from his previous owners, the shy wire-haired guy immediately stole everyone’s heart, no wonder it did not take long for him to find a new owner, this week moved to his final family.

Csokitó’s place did not stay empty for long, Bengó arrived for it from his previous family. He had protected his food, causing an injury to his owner – resulting in them getting urgently rid of him. It soon became obvious for us that the problem is more serious than that, his behaviour is unsure, his pre-life evidently lacked socialization and consistency.

Lizó arrived at our care from her previous owner with the help of an animal friend, was placed at a family pansion.

Haver could undergo neutralization following a negative heartworm-test, the operation did not mean any trouble for him, was his true self when awaking. We trust his behaviour will also get calmer thanks to the hormon changes.

Vencel was saved by another animal protective organization all skin and bones, full of wounds, his road to recovery was long – but now time has come for him to flee our care, found an owner this week.

The young vizsla boy, Barnibaba was also adopted, his family will be extremely happy with him, being a fantastic dog.

Lulu got to our care in April, came from a countryside flaying house to escape being put to sleep – this week she had visitors – the meeting went absolutely well, meaning she could move to a final home, her treatment on heartworms, started by us, is to be continued.

We were asked by another animal protective organization to help a due-time pregnant lady, left to live alone in a yard withouth food or water. While our transport helper got to the scene, 5 puppies were already out, finally 11 were born, but sadly one of them died during birth. The ones staying alive and their Mom are all right, a miracle in itself.

At the Great Dane breed rescue the week was evidently dedicated to adoptions.

Gerda, Domingó, Lincoln moved to owners and Ivelina also changed her contract to become a permanent one. Her temporary adoptives simply could not let her go.

We wish a lot of happiness together for all of them!
