At our Hungarian vizsla breed rescue after last week’s movings to new families this week was dominated by the arrivals. Berger used to spend his life chained, his elderly owner asked for the help of animal protectors as he was not able to take care of him appropriately. He got into our care, the wounds caused by the chain still clearly visible on his neck.
His finders have asked help for Nesztor, the young wire-haired GSP male. We placed him at an adoptive, made up for his missing micro-chip and meanwhile we are looking for his original owner.
For his continuous escapes his owner did not want Toma any more, many times he was wandering in the streets, has also fleed several times from his new place – spending his latest months chained, hence was not able to satisfy his need for movement properly.
Bozsóka got to our care from her previous owners, was placed at Dog Garden dog pansion till an owner shows up.
Our honorary vizsla, Péntek – the pekingese found by the head of our vizsla group – could leave the hospital, spending the feasts at a temporary adoptive.
We planned the operation of Lencsilány for this week, but it had to be postponed, because further medical examinations are needed. He woke up well from the check-up, but her CT-result brought bad news, showing her having tumours not only in her chest, but also in her abdominal cavity.
Földvári Liza, the 10+ vizsla Mom, sentenced to be put to death by her previous owner, officially became an owned dog this week, her temporary adoptives decided on keeping her.
Her original owner did not show up for Elza, hence we were looking for a new family for her – this week we found them.
From the Dachshund breed rescue one dog could move to an owner during the last week of the year, being tiny little Morris.
Unfortunately the Dachshund breed rescue group received an injured Dachshund mixture, Misó, wandering the streets of Miskolc wounded. We took him and immediately got him operated, his elbow being broken to pieces. Now it is strenghtened by a wire, to be removed at the end of March. Till that time he is docked at a temporary adoptive, would need a loving owner very much.
We also became richer by a Dachshund – beagle type heating female, found in Kóka. She received the name of Fenyőfa, currently looking for her original owner – though not being micro-chipped before.
From among our chanceless mixtures the great news for the week is Sárga Maci moving to an owner, leaving the Tárnok kennel row behind and accompanying a young stafford in the picturesque town of Csopak.
Even if his mate, Vadas Maci is at a nice place, living in warmth and love at his temporary adoptives, he would not like to stay un-owned either, is still waiting for the real one.

Lulu was not alone in that yard and as our Association does not leave a mate dog behind, we also took Kasza Bubu, by definition a black male and as such impossible to give for adoption – currently he is living at the kennel row, but compared to the chained, open-air living this is also a huge step forward.
To the care of Great Dane breed rescue two ladies – Hella and Havas Szilva – arrived this week, both of them placed at the kennel row. Unfortunately the potential temporary adoptives shy away because of the size of these Great Danes, only few undertake to share their home with them.

Havas Szilva was a lucky one from the respect that she comes from a breeder where the fate of dogs is taken to heart – hence Havas Szilva could leave the kennel row and return to her breeders.
