Our vizsla breed rescue group again had a
really active week. Vajda, the paralyzed GSP boy got back to our care, for an
interim period a former protected dog of ours, Jimbo and his mate took him into
their care, then a superb family undertook his transportation home, also his
temporary adoption in Hungary. Fortunately he tolerated well both the journey
and the changes in his life, having no time to get bored at his temporary
adoptives, spending his days with Hungarian vizslas, playing, fetching the
ball, enjoying life as it is usual from him. Next week medical check-ups await
him and we also have to replace his worn-out rolling chair.
Tótvázsonyi Guszti arrived at our care with a serious demodex infection, being only 1,5 years old, but unfortunately most likely not having too many 100% happy days of his life so far, arising from this re- and reappearing acute stitching illness. We have started his treatment and trust his full recovery.
Zseb came to our care from the Győr animal protectors.
The heartworm test of Titusz proved negative, thanks to the slower, but more safe treatment! He could also undergo neutralization, now only an owner away from moving to a loving family.
Wizzy’s heartworm test also proved negative, was neutered as well, now being
ready for becoming owned.
Színes got very sick during the weekend, according to the medical examination it
was caused by intestinal inflammation – our voluntary rushed to the vet with
him, was put under continuous hospital attention. Sadly, his tiny little body
gave up the fight the following day…
Two of the Sz-puppies, Szőlő and Szüret moved to loving families.

This week Solymári Bátor, the huge, but
very thin vizsla boy also found a loving family, who had been waiting for him
really much.
Kolly was left behind by his previous owners after they moved, would have been
put to sleep if the neighbours do not contact us for help. The Great Day has
also arrived in his life, moved to an owner now.
The ratio really starts to shake up at
the Dachshud breed rescue, sadly this week we again became richer with a
veteran – Őszapó was found in
Budapest, with his original owner not appearing for him.
From among our old dogs we did not give
for adoption any this week, but even this way luckily we have pieces of news on
movings. The first one was Biléta,
continuing her life as an owned one with a black-tan Dachshund in a contryside town.
Another black-tan lady also said goodbye
to us, Szalvéta moved to Austria,
her new family waiting for her there. The necessary control was done by our
partner organization, AC Austria.
The miracle mover of the week is Bundás, his visitors taking him for
walks fell completely in love with him, meaning he immediately found himself
jumping from the kennel to the sofa.
Our other wire-haired male from the
kennel row, Sütőtök is still waiting
for an owner though. To ensure he is completely ready for it, this week he
underwent neutralization.
At the Great Dane rescue group the two white, deaf puppies could move to owners thank to our German partner organization. One of them will accompany an ex protected dog of ours.

Denali became owned in an extreme short period of time. His temporary adoptive
has taught him a lot during their time together, this way it will be much
easier for him to fit into his new, loving family. All the best, Denali!
At our chanceless group we became
overloaded with cats….It is quite sad when a basically dog-rescuer team also
has to provide help with cats, but there are cases when we simply have no other
decision possible.
Mit-Mitke, the approximately 8-month-old red male moved to the yard of one of our
adoptives. As he is not safe there because of the dogs, we are looking for a
responsible owner for him, ensuring he can move inside.
The other cat of the week is Luci, the 2-year-old half-Persian male,
staying orphaned after the eviction of his family. His owners, a slightly
mentally disabled mother and his son could not pay the overhead and got to the
street from one day to the other, were also made resign of their animals. Luci
is a smaller size, beautiful cat, used to being touched, though currently
rather lurking than making friends, but this one will soon get better. He can
also be adopted with indoor keeping.
Besides the velvet soles we also had an old and two new arrivals. Vidar, the GSP – vizsla mixture got back to our care because of his separational fear, currently waiting for volunteers to take him for a walk from the kennel row and also the interested candidates. We do hope we will one day find him the family to ensure his calm, peaceful future.
Liktor and Luttor were thrown into a plant. The two short-legged mixture males, approximately around 3-months are really exotic in their appearance, when adults, will not be greater than small-midsize. We give them for adoption for indoor keeping and with an obligation for neutralization, till then will try to think on the motivation of the one, throwing these innocent unprotected puppies to a yard, normally guarded by a watchdog. What could someone like this think?
