Till the first Sunday of Advent we had a lot to do and
even now, in the last week of November we started to feel winter and together
with it Christmas approaching. Besides our weekly to do-s we were also eagerly
preparing for our Christmas party.
At the Dachshund breed rescue we were just overwhelmed
with grief this week, due to losing Tobozka. She had a hernia operation, spent
the whole day monitored, but an hour after her arrival home she got sick and we
were not able any more to help her. We say good-bye to her this way and are truly
sorry it did not work out this time, we would have really liked it.
Suzuka, the 9-year-old adorable Dachshund mixture lady
arrived at our care following the death of her owner, luckily did not have to
spend much time with us. She became the first dog of her new owner, happily
accepting our suggestion to start with an elderly one. Suzuka has been living
her wonderful adopted life since then, in perfect harmony with her owner.
Bandu and Ribiszke had been waiting long for an
adopter, we would have liked to give them together, as they were almost grown
to one, did everything together – but many would not have liked two dogs at the
same time. Now finally the dream owner has showed up for them, a very kind
family, also acknowledging that they were shy and needed much attention. We
wish both of them happy owned years to come!
Rexus had also spent much time at the breed rescue, has
raised great interest, but something always stepped in his way. Finally he was
visited by a friend of a former adopter of ours and it was immediately clear he
is the perfect dog for him – he actually moved in a couple of days.
From the Katona family Hadnagy is our first puppy to
get adopted. The owners contacted us among the first ones, waited till this
little boy could be separated, were patient and when time has come, took him
home. His new home is at a wonderful place, in a fantastic family, is also
accompanied by a previusly rescued Dachshund mate. They soon made friends and
already sleep huddled together.
Borka lány, the 8-year-old wire-haired lady moved to a
temporary adoptive with option, she is already the apple of the family’s eye.
We do hope to post soon on her adoption.
Shell was found in Érd, wandering by the road. She was
really lucky to be found by a dog-owner driving by, with his help she arrived
at our care. She soon turned out to be owned, was returned to her home after 2
days.
Sör, the young Dachshund mixture boy arrived together
with his vizsla mate. A very nice, clever, sociable dog, will make a real mate
for someone.
Marlenka is a 6-month-old wire-haired Dachshund
mixture girl, whose elderly owned was hospitalized, hence could not take care
of her any longer, asking for help this way.
We met her as a kiss-giving, hiding, nice little girl,
a real love-bomb.
At our vizsla breed rescue group a calmer week
followed the busy ones.
Vucus
and her Dachshund mixture mate got orphaned with the death of their owner – the
relatives could not place them, hence asked for our help. Both of them got a
thorough bath, then moved to a family pansion.
Suzy arrived at our care from her former owners, was
placed at temporary adoptives. If she fits well into the family, they would
also like to adopt her.
Boldog Betyár found his loving home this week.
To fill Boldog Betyár’s abandoned place at his
temporary adoptives we took Noém, arriving from the Szekszárd animal protectors
– a very good natured and regarding his age active, lively uncle.
Life was really hectic around our chanceless mixtures
this week. Sadly besides the good things bad happened as well…
Unfortunately Auntie Parfüm passed away. She was still going out for her
morning walk, but then huddled up in her basket and fell asleep. By the
post-vet examination her death was caused by a liver tumour. Unfortunately we did
not manage to find Auntie Parfüm a new family, left this world as a
Futrinka-one. This is the most sad part of animal protection, passing away
without an owner.
In the beginning of the week Bio Bonbon was also frightening
us, something had happened to his eye, head. Luckily no serious disorder was
seen at the veterinary check-up, he received eye-ointment and cremes. We had
his neutering carried out in the 2nd half of the week, from now on he is ready
to move to an owner any time. Of course only if we find the one sacrificing
time and patience for a shy young-adult dog.
For Bio Böbe our Austrian partner organization, AC
Austria found an adopter family, she is soon leaving us.
Beni G. has been at our care for more than two years,
noone wanted to adopt him for his problematic behaviour and health condition,
his 10+ age was also not a supporting factor either. Now his fortune seems to
be rising, but we still have a lot to do before he is ready to move.
Unbelievable in the life of a group like that of the
chanceless ones, but this week two of our dogs moved to owners.
For
Szöcske this is the first time in his life to have an owner – he got to the
shelter of Eger as a puppy, was 1,5 years old when he arrived at us. Now time
has come for him, found his home. From now on he is living in Biatorbágy, as a
member of a loving family.
Szente was found by one of our adoptives, got to us
through the shelter of Gyömrő. For his separational fear, reaching demolition
as well he could not stay with his temporary adoptives, has lived at a pansion
place of ours. He moved now to Pécel, where his new family had been eagerly
waiting for him.
