We kicked
December off with a really active week. Besides the usual vet rounds and
arrivals we could also celebrate together at a superb event.
Several of
our protegees at the vizsla breed rescue were adopted, but parallel to it some
also arrived at our care, including a shocked-conditioned puppy.
Leoni was
found lying by the roadside, had been hit by a car – our immediate help was
asked, hence he got to our care. He had a thourough check-up at the hospital –
this way we learnt that his right lower jaw and right upper leg were both
broken. Fortunately the ultra-sound did not show inner bleeding or liquid. He
was in severe pain, was crying even when received medicines, this way we voted
for the urgent operation. It succeeded, but he had seizures afterwards, the
classic symptoms of epilepsy – meaning he had to be anaesthetised, received
infusion and medicines. He had to spend a couple of days at the hospital, when
his condition was stabilized, could head home with his temporary adoptive. The
seizures have gone by now, he is also using his wounded leg and jaw pretty
nice.
Lüszi got to
our care at the age of 13 from her previous owners – from a chain, being skin
and bones. Unfortunately her heartworm-test proved positive, meaning we had to
start her treatment, using the slower, but safer method.
Fülimüle’s
heartworm test was negative, this way she got neutered. She was already ready
for adoption, moved to her final family during the weekend. We wish her long
and happy owned years to come!
Ronja got to
our pansion-adopter from her previous owners.
From among
the puppies of Lizka Februar and Augusztus were both adopted. We wish both of
them long and happy owned life!
At our base
rescue group Serena and Hajnal produced negative heartworm tests.
Pepsi’s
heartworm test proved sadly positive, his treatment has also started, using the
slower, but safer method.
Futrinka’s St
Nicholas-day and Christmas party was held on Saturday at Vasmacska Terrace.
Many of our former protegees, adopters and helpers joined us, it was a really
great time together.
We had
several arrivals this week.
Puder was
found in Gyor, her original owner did not show up for her, had not been
microchipped. We got to know a really nice girl in her, do hope she soon gets
adopted.
Uno is a
young, wire-haired male, also found in the street – for 14 days he is looking
for his original owner.
Our help was
requested for Piper, the wire-haired mixture girl – as wounded, her owner did
not want her any more. The way she got injured is unclear, she was immediately
hospitalized upon her arrival.
We took
Hógolyó as a Dachshund mixture to our care – but later turned out to be much
bigger than a Dachshund. A young girl, not being trained or taken care of so
far – landing at the flaying house as a non-wanted dog at the end. Now she is
waiting for a dream owner.
Dióda arrived
at us more than a year ago, somewhow was always the one left without an owner –
even though a tiny, nice and perfect one. Luckily the real one has showed up
for him now, even visited a cosmetician before moving to them.
By now he is
a real owned dog, going to work with his adopter, being loved – would anyone
need more than that?
Box, a 3 éves
szálkás szőrű tacskónak ugyan volt gazdája, mégis mindig az utcán volt, amíg
párfogásába nem vette egy kedves hölgy. Kiderült, a gazdájának nem kell, így
segítséget kért számára.
Frissen
kozmetikázva, beoltva érkezhetett a gondozásunkba, és most ő is elköltözhetett
új otthonába, ahol végre boldog kutya lehet.
Box, the
3-year old wire-haired Dachshund was actually owned, but spent his time always
in the street – till a nice lady took care of him. His owner turned out not to
need him any more, asked for our help.
He arrived at
us fresh from cosmetics, vaccined – and now moved to his new home, becoming a
happy dog finally.
