The second week of the new year was calm at our Vizsla Breed
Rescue Group. Most of our time was dedicated to coordinate finding the homes of
those dogs that were lost and found during and after New Years Eve.
Nevertheless, the week wasn’t completely excitement free. A large
tumour had grown very rapidly on the side of our veteran, uncle Tücsök.
He needed an immediate surgical procedure, which he tolerated very well.
We had two arrivals at our Chanceless Mixed Breeds Rescue Group.
Sybell was found by the master of a former protégé of ours, and
because the original owner was not looking for her, we are going to help the
doggy to find a new home.
The bone skinny Boni came into our care from his former master,
where he lived on a chain. Despite his poor former circumstances, he is an
affectionate and endlessly kind dog.
Our Dachshund Breed Rescue Group received several new proteges.
Chili and Bobina are a miniature Wire-Haired Dachshund duo that
was returned to us after 7 years. The two couch potatoes are great friends and
they are looking for a loving home together.
Ízes was neglected by her former master. She has never experienced
lovely walks and as a result, she weighs 13 kg. We got to know and endlessly
kind little girl, who is on a special diet now and simultaneously enjoying a
fuller, more balanced life with mental and physical stimuli.
It is always difficult to cope when one of our proteges passes
away, especially if it is a young little soul that should have had more chance
for a better life.
Csokika were handed over to us by his former masters. The reason:
difficult to manage. In our care, he received love, attention and care. Sadly,
one evening, he got ill. He was taken to the vet, where after IV and different
examinations, he felt better. We were happy too soon, Csokika gave up the fight
before the morning came. It is devastating that Csokika could experience love
and care only for a very short time :(
