We
were invited to participate in Dog Garden Pet Boarding’s seminar aimed
at new and prospective pet owners. As for our part, we had
a chance to introduce Futrinka Association, talk about our mission, to
give out information about fostering opportunities and also about
adoption.
Two
dachshund group rescues also found their homes. Dorin only had foster
status for one week when his always-aim-to-please personality
left his fosters no other choice but to take him in as a permanent
family member. This happy soul fit in just right with the family’s other
dogs and the humans. We are especially happy for him because we believe
that no one ever really loved him before.
Zigi
is a purebred, mature female wirehair dachshund. Originally purchased
from a breeder then passed on as second hand dog to new
owners who want nothing to do with her anymore. This time, she wants to
find the people who will love her for the rest of her life. Pedigree or
not.
Two
vizsla babies were adopted this week. The interest for these two was
overwhelming. It was a tough decision but we are positive
we found the perfect adopting families for them who will continue the
puppies immunization programs and will arrange for their neutering
procedures.
Cenke
now lives with a young couple and Csipetke lives in a family with other
children. Most importantly they both went to loving homes.Cenke &Csipetke |
Berek, came to us from a family. This young vizsla boy was fortunate enough to immediately move into foster care and on top of that, with the option to adopt. We hope that his status will be finalized soon so he can have the best birthday gift ever. His own family for his first birthday.
Szimka,
who was found wondering on the streets of Debrecen, is now available
for adoption. Her neutering operation went well and she
is on the road to speedy recovery. She is ready and now accepting
applications from candidates looking for a lifelong friend.
Our
long time resident, Bogi is now also available for adoption. She had to
be carefully prepared for her neutering operation in consideration
of her age and previous medical history. Fortunately the procedure did
not take a huge toll on her. After a day of quasi lethargy she is
bouncing back very nicely. Soliciting and receiving special attention
from her caregivers also seem to greatly advance
her recovery.
Toki
Tok, the honorary Great Dane was found this week. We had been looking
for his original family while they also had been looking
for him. Toki Tok did not have an ID chip but there were photos to
prove ownership. Of course, the loving reunion was also a great proof of
true home found again.
