We are always extremely happy to see when you come to us, when we call for help. This is what happened on 22nd
week, when a good number of volunteers appeared at our shelter and helped to
clear out the area around the wood house. We managed to fill a large dumpster container,
which enabled us to have space for the barrels in which we keep blankets and
other necessary items. Soon we wish to build two additional kennels that are
suitable for German Dogs, as unfortunately, there is an increasing need for
helping this breed as well.
We are going to inform you about our
plans in details later, and of course, we still count on your generous
donations as well as volunteer work.
We thank you all for your donations, so we could buy a chip reader. Thanks to you, now we are happy owners of more
than just one reader! It would not have been possible without you – many thanks!
Our Hungarian Vizsla Group was present on the tour called
Vizsla Túra in Gyömrő. We received nearly 85,000 forint worth of donations and
flea collars for our dogs! We are grateful for the help!
The next Vizsla Túra will be on 28th
June in Pátka. We are looking forward to see you there!
This week, more dogs went under neutering or other medical procedure in
our Hungarian Vizsla Breed Rescue Group than ever before. The doggies who went
under the neutering procedure are Trini, Boribon, Hapták, Hóka and Salotta. While Lifa had to
be operated because the inflammation of her uterine stump.
Fancsi, the wire-haired German Vizsla female with non-matching eyes, finally could move from a kennel in Tárnok to a temporary owner.
Sushi, a petite Vizsla mix female is a cute new
addition to the Vizsla pack at our organisation.
Great
news: Zeusz, the German Dog finally had
been adopted! After continuous e-mail correspondence and an additional personal
meeting, we had no doubt that Zeusz
had found a loving family!
We wish you good luck and a lot of happiness Zeze!
Although we have greater experience in saving adult dogs, this week we said yes to a whole dog family, so eleven doggy arrived to the Basic Operation Group of our organisation. This means that in about three-four weeks, we will be looking for adoptive families for ten beautiful puppies from a medium-large built mother and an unknown father. Every member of the “Építés” family received names starting with the letter “É”. The black mix mam was given the name Ékszer, the six little boys are now Érc, Étel, Éhes, Érdek, Éppen and És, while the four little girls are Éjjel, Érme, Élet and Érzet. We will be introducing them individually to you very shortly.
Alain, the adult Jack Russel Terrier male, moved to one of the kennels in Tárnok. The reasons for this were that great photos can be taken of him in the location, as well as visitors have a better chance to meet him and fall in love with his extraordinary funny and adorable personality and not only his beautiful looks. .
Vasco was very unlucky before he arrived to our organisation. He was a stray dog and wondered the streets, while later he had to be saved from a poor environment. During this week, after he had undergone neutralisation, was Vasco adopted. According to information from his new owner, apart from needing some training with elevators, Vasco is a real dream dog. We are hoping that his new family will love him very much.
The adoptive family, who first desperately wanted
him, returned Korc to the Dachshund
Rescue Group… No dog is perfect, even though if a dog behaves perfectly in our
care, the adoptive family needs to be both consistent and patient, because it
is very easy to undo all training in a few days. In addition, a dog is not a
toy. Even if it is mean to accompany a child, the adults of the family are
responsible for making sure that both the children and the dog have their own
personal space, especially during the first few months. Finally, adoption comes
with great responsibilities and should not be done for the wrong reasons. Superficial
motives, such as “a dog would look great in the yard”, do not justify adoption.
We are extremely disappointed that Korc had to go through an unsuccessful
adoption and that – again – he waits for a loving family.
Kajak was not lucky either. We had the impression that
the Hungarian family that lives in Austria, could not wait for finally having Kajak. It was our organisation, which started
the correspondence with the family, and our partner organisation in Austria
continued the adoption process. We were very disappointed, when one day before Kajak could travel to Austria; the
family simply cancelled the adoption. The adoption process and the travel of
the dog had already been planned and organised involving several people and
their hard work. As a final result, Kajak
had stayed in our care and is still waiting for a loving family that truly
wants him.
Tinka the senior shorthaired Dachshund female underwent neutralisation, which means that now nothing stands in her way to be adopted. However, due to her age, there is a chance that she will be in our care for a longer period of time.
Finally,
we would like to inform all our supporters that Futrnika Organisation’s Annual
Report is available now on our website, as its content have been accepted on
our General Annual Meeting. In addition, a decision had been made about our vocational
and financial strategies and objectives for 2015. We also finalised the allocation
of the 1% of 2014’s income tax. The latter will we receive later on this year,
sometime around October – November.
The
Hungarian Vizsla Breed Rescue Group received a new leader in the person of
Pethe-Kiss Kata. We would like congratulate her and wish her success in
co-ordinating the Group.
