The Széchenyi István Technical College and
High School in Százhalombatta organised a collection for our Organisation
during the last two weeks of the semester. They were not only collected donations,
but also received information and education from teachers who arranged the
event, about the responsible way of owning and caring for pets. Our
organisation provided brochures and leaflets for the students.
The income that the cake charity fair provided was also
offered to our Organisation, for which we are very grateful!
Several dogs were
lucky and could move to permanent owners from our Hungarian Vizsla Breed Rescue
group. Hapták moved from one of
our kennels, while Boribon, Charlotte and Vezse left their
temporary owners.

Unfortunately, Alex
apó, who had been previously
adopted, was returned to our Organisation. In a situation like this, we have
difficulties to understand people and their actions.
Three of our dogs
were tested for heartworm disease and luckily, all three results came back
negative. After the testing, Netti, Zémona and Vezse went under successful neutralisation. Now they
are recovering from the procedure.

From the group of Chanceless Mix Dogs, huge excitement
surrounds Pöcsös Béla and his
rather complicated surgery. The surgeon clipped off a few centimetres from the
tip of his penis, and then he stitched the skin back on the now shorter body
part. We cross our fingers for Pöcsös Béla and hope that the procedure has
been entirely successful…
Finally, Túrkeve was ready for neutralisation and fortunately, he
managed the procedure well. Now he is ready to find his dream owner, so please
do not hesitate to get to know him. Túrkeve’s surgery was performed by a
new partner-organisation, the Murmuczok Veterninary
Clinic. We are extremely grateful for their help.
Alain,
the wire-haired Jack Russel mix male has left our kennels and moved to a
temporary owner, where he will master the social skills that are crucial in
order to interact with both people and other animals.
Leila hercegnő has also left
our kennels to move in with her new adoptive family. She found her place in the
new environment instantly and made everyone fall in love with her.
Dr Spock,
the senior Chihuahua male, arrived to our Organisation from an Animal Welfare
Institute in Eger. Because he is not in perfect conditions, our first step is his
thorough examination.
Toki Tok managed to escape from his owners this week as well, and ended up at the German Dog Breed Rescue group. Lucky for him, shortly after his owners learned where to find him, they pick him up.
Bakszakáll from the Dachshund Breed
Rescue group had finally been adopted. He battled with heartworm disease for a
long period of time, but thanks to the continuous treatments, he is now healthy
and lives happily with his new family.
We took over Penna, a Dachshund-Terrier mix female and her two puppies Lénia and Plajbász from an Animal Welfare group in Eger. They all moved to a temporary owner, where they are waiting for to be adopted.
