During the long weekend
we had several travellers and adopted ones as well, and luckily many of you
decided to meet our dogs at the kennel row, to present those waiting there a
precious, non-forgettable hour. Thanks very much! Please bear in mind that our
protegees are waiting for you at the kennel row each day between 10 am and 4
pm!
Vizsla breed rescue had a
really busy week, started with Tompi becoming owned. Tompi was found by a vizsla-owner
helper of ours, then his brother, Rücsök also joined our group – and even
though they are clearly visibly not vizslas, we made them honorary ones. These
fox terriers, previously used for rat extermination, could now leave their past
behind – this week following Rücsök Tompi flew out of our care as well, finding
his final home.
Peggy’s routine heartworm
test proved negative, and even though she is young, her ovary is already
inflamed – hence she was neutralized. She took the recovery quite bad in the
first days, but by now luckily is well again, becoming her real self. The
heartworm tests of Tiffany and Bobó are negative as well, meaning they were
also neutered this week. Waldi’s test is also negative, his operation takes
place next week.
T-puppies have all found
their final homes by now, but their Mom, Tea is still looking for her one. This
week she moved to our rented kennel row from her previous place, we do hope
someone will irresistably fall in low with and adopt her.
Tas was found by animal
friends at Tiszafüred, running up and down the road, his body full of wounds
and ticks. As he did not have a micro-chip, we are currently looking for his
original owner, proving his ownership rights with valid documents.
This weekend thanks to
our foreign partner organizations three of our long-time protegees could flee
our care: Kabar, Prakker and Elizon.
Málnika came to our care
from her previous owners, luckily this week brought her the final home,
accompanying an also wire-haired vizsla.
Nüli’s beloved owner has
passed away, and even though the heirs would have liked to keep the pet of the
deceased family member, her relationship was not that good with the other dogs
of her new family – as this was neither good for Nüli, nor for the dogs, they
asked our help to find her a new one.
The Dachshund breed
rescue gave two dogs for adoption to England through a new organization, ones,
who have not aroused the attention of anyone at home.
Mimmi and Nyugati were
both saved from being put to sleep, from rural flaying houses. They had waited
a really long time, and we wanted it so much that true happiness also reaches
them. They have landed properly, and we were settled down. We wish them all the
best for their new lives!
Kóc arrived from ASKA
of Székesfehérvár, were non-stabile there, but at us calmed down properly,
became reliable. This week he got visitors and moved with them: became an owned
one.
From among our
baby-group Egyik is already owned, moved to Szentendre to an all-heart family.
Hupli, our wire-haired
male below 1-year also said good-bye to us, starting his real, owned life.
Vagyonka is a really
shy one, but as time passes by, she also grew up, hence we organized her
neutralization. It would just be great now to find her an owner as well.
Misó also underwent
neutralization, solely because the wire needed to be removed from his elbow.
Otherwise we would not have risked his life with the operation, as
unfortunately his heartworm-test is positive. We have a lot of affected dogs by
now. You take care of your dogs’ testing, don’t you?
We are a bit too many now,
hence will rest a little bit, at least regarding the new arrivals. This week
still from our waiting list came two Dachshund mixtures, Laci and Puci. We
could place them at the kennel row, but do hope they will soon find an owner.
From among our chanceless
mixtures two dogs flew away thanks to Setterburg, our German partner
organization. Málna moved to the family previously visiting her.
Molly Moll also
travelled away, for her temporary adoptives it meant a really painful
separation, as she fitted nice into their lives. They perfectly pre-spoilt her,
the future owner will continue to do so.
We also received
donations: dogfood, canned food, blankets and other useful things as well.
Thanks very much!
Bell could have also
become owned, but…unfortunately kennel cough reached him, meaning we are
treating him now.
