This week we did our
tasks with one leg already in October. Days are getting shorter, weather is
becoming more and more chilly and we keep thinking on how to find a warm place
for our outdoor-kept protegees…but one thing did not change at all: we again
have a lot to tell you.
At the short-legged
section we had a busy week this time as well.
After a long-long wait
Stacy headed for her owned life this week, according to our first pieces of
news everything is going well with her.
She moved to a silent,
calm place, a nice family house, a pillow was already waiting for her on the
sofa. In case she gets bored she can assisst her owner in gardening – could
this lady, already over so much bad in her life wish herself a better dream
home?
Csengő, the Dachshund
mixture lady, found in the street did not spend much time at our care – last
week simply moved to an owner, accompanying a mate. This solid, silent little
girl smoothly fitted in her new home.
Kecses Diána moved to
Eger during the weekend, also a Dachshund mate was waiting for her – harmony is
not yet perfect between them, but as we know this usually gets settled in a
couple of weeks.
Already at the Sugárzoo
picnic a family was interested in Varázs – a visit followed, then a decision:
Varázs is continuing his life as an adopted one.
Csipesz also got her
life settled: became a permanent member at her adoptive, to the joy of both of
them. Csipesz is a perfect dog, will live her life as a real mate from this
time on.
Méda, the 3-year-old
wire-haired Dachshund mixture lady arrived at our care this week, had been
found in Alsóörs, but her original owner did not show up.
Stihl, the 13-year-old
short-haired Dachshund mixture lady arrived from the flaying house of Jászberény,
her „owner” had placed her there.
From among our
chanceless mixtures one dog found her owner this week, little Merre was the
lucky one. She moved to Slovakia, her family is already absolutely fond of her.
Two of our protegees
were moved from an outer kennel to a family pansion. Bio Böbe left the Tárnok
kennel row behind and explored happily the safety provided by a warm home. A
knot has grown on her neck, we will have to get it checked yet, but regardless
of it she is still looking for an owner. We also suggest her for beginner
dog-keepers.
Mandulás Magdi is a
small-size, hiding, very lovable female mixture, the real one just does not
want to show up for her, though someone would really find a perfect mate in
her. She was also very happy to move to a more comfortable environment, found
the sofa specifically great.
Our other Mom from
Sárospatak, Séta is also ready to get adopted, but to give the chance for
someone to fall in love with her, she also changed her place this week: is waiting
for the ones taking her for a walk at the Tárnok kennel row, would of course
also be happy for someone with a more serious purpose.
We also had numerous
vet cases this week. Küllő collapsed in a way that also made him faint. It
might have been caused by a dying heartworm, but his treatment and
strenghtening is under way, he also needs to go through a heart ultra-sound
check-up.
Pamut, our
Szolnok-originated kuvasz lady turned out to have heartworms. We have started
her treatment and do hope someone falls in love with her even this way.
Headcount freeze is
still actual at the Great Dane breed rescue. Currently we have 11 protegees and
the would-be owners do not tend to be queuing for them.
Even during this time
we are warmly welcoming visitors at our kennel row to take our dogs for a walk,
they are extremely happy for any time spent with them! If you are interested,
please drop us a mail to nemetdogsos@gmail.com.
At our vizsla breed
rescue group the continuous diarrhoea of Radír is luckily over, his routine
heartworm-test also proved negative, which meant neutralization for him this
week. But following the operation he did not come back to the kennel row –
moved to his final family.
This week several of
our protegees underwent neutralization, following their negative routine
heartworm tests: Sármos, Lüke Füge and Helka were the ones operated.
Sima Samu is soon
moving to a final family, a superb life is awaiting him with his dog trainer
owners.
Thanks to our foreign
partner organization Fodorka, Schöni and Édi headed for their final owners.
Upon her arrival
Pöttyös Panni produced a positive routine heartworm test, but using the slower,
safer method her repetitive test is negative – to celebrate it she moved to her
final owner during the weekend.
Zétény was found
wandering the streets of Debrecen, was not micro-chipped and his condition
evidently showed he had been outside for a long time, weighing only 15,4 kg.
His gaining weight will not be an easy task, as he is not able to chew, but
what worries us even more is his mood – he is not communicating with anyone,
though his medical results do not explain neither this apatic state, nor his
inability for chewing. His adopter does all he can for Zétény, so that he gets
better both physically and mentally, but he is not a simple case.
Liza Minelly arrived at
our care from her previous owner, was placed at a family pansion, a very
charming and hiding one, but highly stressed for the changes she went through.
