24th September 2016,
Saturday was dedicated to Futrinka Association’s 10th birthday walking together
day.
Many people showed up
to take our dogs for a walk, some could do it more than once. Our team awaited
those arriving back with home-made chicken-liver – fat and sour
cream-sandwiches.
Weather was extremely
nice to us, the mood being just as well great.
One of the participants
was followed back to us by a wandering white dog, thanks to his chip we managed
to get him back to his owner to the end of the day. At the same time, our
former adopters found a non-chipped wandering wire-haired Dachshund, becoming
the newest arrival at the Dachshund Breed Rescue.
The group of chanceless
mixtures started the week off with a sad piece of news as Rémusz, the old,
heartworm-infected mixture male passed away. We do not know if the reason was
his age or the damage caused by the heartworms, but it is always tragic to see
one of our protegees go while still at our care – it turns our attention to the
fact that we did not manage to find him a final family. Except for us Rémusz
was not needed by anyone, this way we say him goodbye as our own one. We are
really sorry.
Luckily we also have
good pieces of news to share with you from this week. Vadas Mackó was adopted
by his temporary adopter after spending a year together.
Mokaszin moved to the
8th district to a very nice family, soon visiting a dogschool with him. They are
not routinous yet, but actually Mokaszin, already known as Kifli does not
really require that.
Merre, the last
owner-searching puppy of Mandulás-litter was visited by a family from Slovakia,
falling in love with him at once: Merre is a candidate for adoption.
Zomé moved to a
temporary adopter from the family pansion, here she could be given more
attention and a personalized caretaking. We do hope the news to come from the
family environment will also help her to an adopter. Zomé has been at our care
since February.
At the Dachshund breed
rescue following a short peaceful period this week brought active days.
Vigasz, the 7-year-old mini Dachshund lady changed her temporary status to
permanent at her adopters – they have been together from the very first moment
of her arrival, meaning she did not really notice the change. All in all, she
officially became an owned dog when her adoption agreement was signed.
Alberto, the nice
wire-haired mixture boy moved to a beginner dog-owner family, welcoming him
with lots of love. For him OWNED life has just started, we wish him a lot of
success for it.
Vattacukor, the
15-month-old short-haired mini Dachshund girlie accompanies a former protegee
of ours from now on. To the greatest joy of their owners they are in perfect
harmony with Düftin.
Zafi’s arrival was a
bit delayed because of her illness, but after a few days with us this tiny
wire-haired mixture girlie became owned, to the greatest pleasure of her new
family.
This was a sad week for
us. Nobu was in a very bad shape upon his arrival and even though we did all we
could to help him, this time we were not successful. He was hospitalized, was
given all the possible medical help, but sadly did not stay alive. We are
saying good-bye to You this way, all the bad things and pain are gone now.
Elmo, the young
wire-haired mixture male was found near Bicske, was advertised but noone showed
up for him. Help was asked for him, currently he is still searching his
original owner.
Sramli, the almost
puppy wire-haired Dachshund female was found in Érd, currently she is also
looking for her original owner.
Tutika, the young
wire-haired female arrived at our care from Vác, a fairy little girl, giving
kisses to everyone.
The breed rescue was
invited to the Sugárzoo picnic on Sunday, we spent there a very nice day, with many
programmes and numerous guests as well.
Dorly, the 2-year-old
black dog lady returned to the Great Dane breed rescue this week. Unfortunately she had an
irreconcilable dispute with another dog of the family, not being Dorly’s fault
according to the ex-owners. The point is that this beautiful young lady is
again looking for an owner.
Following the series of busy
weeks at the vizsla breed rescue this one brought calmer days. Tiborc visited
the veterinary with his temporary adopter for an ultra-sound to check his
heartworms – they are at his lung artery, meaning we have to prolong his
treatment till at least February – but if he finds a permanent owner, this can
also be continued by them of course.
Mamarci and Fafahéj,
father and son arrived at our care from their former owners, were placed at a
family pansion.
Lüke Füge arrived at our
care from his former owners because of his continuous escapes. Resulting from
his young age he has an unbounded and foolish nature yet, also a great need for
moving, simply adorably sweet, jumpy one.
Levelibéka’s routine
heartworm test proved negative, hence he could undergo neutralization.
Following the operation he is recovering at his permanent family.
Kászon and Ugar arrived at our care after the death of their eldely owner –
though they are brothers, their personalities differ very much both in their
out- and inside. Kászon is a leader-type, a bit willful and stubborn, Ugar much
more gentle in nature, attentive and careful, obeying – what unites them now is
that we are looking for permanent families to adopt them.
The Muki-family was born
in an abandoned yard, both the 10 puppies and their Mom got to our care. By now
all of them are happy owned ones, the last one leaving us was Méltó, he is also
continuing his life within a family.
Sima Samu’s routine heartworm
test is negative, this week he could undergo neutralization.
