What happened at Futrinka during week 36?

September’s first week went by fast but it doesn’t mean that it was uneventful.

Harcos is still a baby but he has already gone through a lot. He was taken into our care from his previous owner and his right foreleg has been injured; presumably his mother laid down on it. He prefers not to step on this leg hence walking is a bit difficult for him. Harcos’s going to be examined by an expert so that we can figure out what to do with him.

Dobra’s thigh bone had to be operated due to an unidentified and unattended injury. The operation took place on Wednesday, however, by taking the necessary precautions, she could only leave the hospital on Thursday. She is currently recovering at her temporary mom.

We had to say good bye to our very much loved protégé, Alex, who had recently been taken back into our care. They were fighting for his life in the operating room, however, his aged body sytem gave up. We are unutterably sad.

Fülimüle was brought to us from his previous owner who kept him on chain. We will never understand the purpose of this. Fülimüle is considered to be lucky because his owners realized how unsatisfatory his life was. However, there are a great number of dogs in Hungary who are suffering on chains without the hope of release.

Out of the A-babies Alex was the lucky one who could start his new life as an adopted dog.

The Futrinka Picnic took place in a bar named Kertem in Budapest on the 9th of September. Our volunteers, supporters, current and ex-proteges all had a great time together. We are thankful to those attending the event!

At our Daschund Rescue Group Raduly’s and Füzér’s heartworm test came back as negative, thus both of them could go through the castration process. The operations went good and they are ready to find their permanent homes by the side of their dream owners.

On Friday night Rence could go to sleep as a freshly adopted dog. There were a lot of preparation but he immediately realized he was going home.

Sebeske is a wonderful dog and even though he went through some rough times, his trust and affection stayed the same. He was recovering nicely and the bond between him and his temporary owners grew stronger. Can you guess the final outcome? Not a tricky question, he was adopted during the weekend by the owners and now he can start his peaceful and happy life at home.

We wish a long and happy life to our newely adopted dogs!
