We had a lot happening around our vizsla breed rescue group. We had vet
rounds, adoptions, returning protegees and found vizslas arriving at us in
numbers never seen before.
Every dog arriving at us gets through the routine heartworm-test – the
results of Fülimüle, Noki, Hintalo and Barmi were negative this week.
Unfortunately
the result of Makk proved again positive this week, meaning we will continue
his treatment, using the slower, but safter method.
From among the puppies found in Abadszalok Adina was the lucky one this
week, finding her final family and starting her owned life.
Kapi, the young Hungarian vizsla boy got also adopted this week.
Maximilian is already over an unfortunate adoption, has been waiting for so
long for a final family – arriving this week, hence he started his owned life
with his family and four-paw mate.
Soska, the approximately 5-month-old GSP boy was found in Füzesabony,
running around on the motorway.
Spenot, the young Hungarian vizsla was found in Debrecen, transported to
safety by his finders – but when already had enough of food, headed for his
journey again. A couple of days later the local animal protectors luckily found
him, he got to our care.
Szöszi arrived at our care on Saturday. She was also found near Debrecen,
but unfortunately as had no micro-chip, she had to wait for her owner at the
Debrecen flaying house, in case he shows up. But he did not do so, hence Szöszi
moved to temporary adoptives during the weekend.
Kicsi Pötty, the tiny, cca 5-6 kg vizsla mix was found in Jaszkarajeno, his
finders have asked for our help in finding him.
Vasarnap Hajnalka, the young Hungarian vizsla female was found Sunday
morning in Kajaszo, with her head bleeding.
Unfortunately we also had a returnee dog this week. Prezeda got to our care
in 2015 from the Hajduboszormeny flaying house, but to our greatest shock
returned to our care following 2 owned years. He got to a fantastic, routinous
temporary adoptive, relaxing pretty soon, enjoying the company of his
dog-friends, running around and playing with his ball happily.
This week was spent bitter-sweet at our base group. We lost a protegee
close to our heart, but from among two of our long-time owner-seekers one moved
to a temporary adoptive, the other to a final one.
Noruz got sick from one moment to the other one, at the vet turned out to
be seriously ill. His guts swifted together and following a very short
discussion we decided on the operation. We would have liked to help Noruz and
give every chance to him. Sadly during the operation he turned out to have a
very serious pancreas tumour. We had to take an extremely difficult decision,
measuring what the best was for Noruz. Hence with a broken heart we let him go.
He got over the rainbow bridge in his temporary adopter’s hands.
Lali has been waiting for so long at our care, till the real one showed up
for him. This week he moved to an adoptive with an optional status – if
everything goes well and he manages to fit in, they would like to adopt him
finally.
Makgubo got to our care skin and bones, rounded up nice, got strengthened.
Unfortunately he had a non-successful
adoption, but during last week’s Futrinka Piknik a family fell in love with
him. During the week he moved to his final family, starting his owned life.
The week went silent and sad at our Dachshund breed rescue.
Following his dinner Avar took a rest on the terrace with his adoptive, never
waking up again. He got over the rainbow unexpected, his death caused by a
heart tumour. He was 8 years of age, a nice, kiss-giving little boy, waiting
for an adoptive. He would have had much more time to find one, but
unfortunately fate has another decision on it. We are extremely sorry that he
only had this short period of time.
Balan got to our care from the Hajduszoboszlo flaying house. A young,
playful boy, has a lot to learn yet.
