What happened at Futrinka during week 1 of 2016?

If the whole year is like the first week of it, we are immediately frightened, as in this case we are heading towards a really intensive period with loads of arrivals, many things to be solved, many challenges to be faced. All of our breed rescue groups have done their best, with notices coming one after the other, dogs arriving, but at the same time luckily we can also report on some finding their families. We also have to tell it again that the individual registration micro chip is not a question of choice, being obligatory for several years now – hence in case someone has not done it yet, should start this year by getting their dogs chipped. Who already has it, should get it checked, both the micro-chip itself and whether it has been properly registrated, with the data being still valid. It would really speed up returning home for many dogs if we could look for their owners by the chip data, not a description of their outlook.

Several dogs arrived this week to the Dachshund breed rescue, some of them got lost during the madness of Christmas – New Year’s Eve period, still looking for their original owners. Sneci is one of them, approximately 6-month-old wire-haired Dachshund male, getting to us from Szolnok. He was not micro-chipeed, we already made up for it, at the same time starting his vaccination programme. He is waiting for his fate to be solved at a temporary adoptive.

Berzisán was found in Velence, asked to be let into a paint shop. He is definitely a lost one, well cared of, someone surely loves and misses him. As we did not find a chip in him, we placed him at a temporary family, also taking care of his vaccination.
Mimmi had been waiting at a flaying house for a longer period of time, not a feast-time loss for someone – in her case it was a targeted temporary adoptive offering leading to her escape. For the great happiness, meaning from this point on she is free, she immediately started to fire, so that we cannot declare her ready for adoption right now. Anyway, as she is waiting for her operation, she learns a lot from her temporary adoptive on the rules of living in a flat, city noises, travelling and a lot else. We hope someone falls in love fast with this young German shepherd Dachshund lady.
The temporary adoptive of Mimmi also has a Facebook site, with regular posts and photos on her:

From among the residents of our kennel row Jim Beam, the hen- and goose-killer Dachshund male was neutralized, previously producing a negative heartworm test. Unfortunately Jim Beam has not found a loving final family yet, but is freezing at the kennel row – hence would love to have at least a temporary owner.

Cickom, the Dachshund mixture lady, arriving at us all skin and bones has got better to the extent that her neutralization operation could be carried out, without any complications. Now we only have to find her a loving home.
We also became poorer with a temporary adoptive this week, as the temporary owner of Márvány declared she would not give this tiny little wonder to anyone, but would love to become her real family. Márvány, the Dachshund mixture lady, saved from the Baja flaying house, got to the best place imaginable. We are really happy about it.
Üde, the wire-haired Dachshund lady had been waiting for the real one for a really long time, for almost a year we could not find her new, loving home – but she will not spend 2016 with us, as through our Austrian partner, AC Austria she has found a loving owner now.
From among our chanceless mixtures Purpin, the Karcag bicycle-tyre –  chained, ex-heartworm infected mixture could leave us, after undergoing neutralization. We still cannot believe that from this much-lived, much-suffered silky one a sofa dog has become.

From the Karácsony family two mixture boys could start their new lives, both of them moving to Budapest. Kakukk became the flatmate of a canary-bird having a similar eye-patch, called Sas – according to the first pieces of news everything is going all right with him.
Komló (previously advertised under the name of Kőris, due to a mixture of names) also found his new home, becoming the dog of a young couple.
We had moves not only out-, but also inside: Argan, an English setter joined the group, being advertised on a web portal. As Argan originally arrived from Italy, we have to get him tested – besides the usual blood tests – for Leishmaniosis as well, so that we can definitely exclude him being infected.
At our vizsla breed rescue group the first week of the year was definitely on the arrivals. We left behind a really intensive week, with three times as many arrivals as the ones moving to final owners.

Barcikai Lurkó used to live in love some day, but as his owner passed away, he lived lonely on the frosty yard. He moved to a temporary adoptive, got a thorough bath and enjoys the warmth and comfort of the flat.

Kanizsai Balu arrived at our care from his previous owner, one of our ex-protected dog and his owner took him temporarily to themselves.

Drótos Matyi got to our care from his previous owners, moved to a temporary adoptive. Though he used to be an outside dog, it does not mean any problem for him to live inside the flat, travels nice in the car, shy with people, but accepted the change of his environment fast.

Plúgó arrived at our care from his previous owners. Currently he is placed at the rented kennel row, hence we are also looking for a temporary adoptive for him!

Animal friends have found this young vizsla lady, getting from us the name Waldi.

Nadapi Lili arrived at our care from her previous owner, till finding a loving family she is placed at the Dog Garden dog pansion.
Animal friends have found the wandering three young vizsla boys, getting the names Lars, Liam and Lee at our care.
Vanna was found by animal friends, extremely malnourished, being skin and bones when she was found. She had a micro-chip, we could also identify her original owner – turning out to be completely broken for a family tragedy, could not even take care of her once loved dog and unfortunately passing away a couple of weeks earlier.

Jákfői Pötty and Berci arrived at our care from their previous owners. Skin skretch samples were taken from them, according to the result of the rearing their body is infected by malessezia fungi and stafilococcus bacteria. So that their condition gets better we are looking for temporary adoptives for them, where their regular medicated shampoo-bath could be solved.

This week from the pair of Peggy and Casper, found by the road and also fighting the dreaded parvo-infection, Casper moved to a final family from his temporary adoptive.

This week was about the youngsters at the Great Dane breed rescue. Diotima moved to an owner, becoming the mate of another ex-Futrinka Great Dane, Sophie.

From nowhere jumped at us three young dogs as well, Bentley, Caddilac and Porsche. They were put in a kennel before a flaying house during the night. Currently they live at a temporary adoptive, their vaccination programme started.
