What happened at Futrinka on the 49th week of 2015?

This week we could present the Santa-packages gathered with your help to the children supported by Kontúr Nonprofit Association, providing a meaningful alternative to the inhabitants of Hős street. We could hand out 180 packages, you are all great! Thank you so much!

The „dementors”, meaning the supportive group created by our ex-protected vizsla, Demény, the „bastard” collect for the Kontúr Association: from the amounts offered the furniture of the community room is to be purchased, but they also accept offerings of toys and games, drawing tools and children books. You can also join their monthly charity collectings – introducing another organization every month:

The group of our chanceless mixtures might have never ever closed such a superb week as 49! It is quite hard to believe who the ones leaving us for families were.

Gamandor could say good-bye to the kennel row after 2 years spent there, to start his new life as a member of a loving family, living from now on in Buda, next to Déli station. It was really moving to see him napping in an armchair. He had really deserved it so much!

Our joy was no smaller for Sodó finding his home, he will live in the future as the dog of a disabled girl. He has waited more than a year for this to come true, already on his first day at his family behaved as if has belonged there forever.

We have already received Vidar back for his serious separational problems, then moved to the kennel row, from there to Kisoroszi, to accompany a dog similar to him. We still worry about him, but the first pieces of news are promising. Vidar is owned!

We thought Everest would stick in, as who needs a great-size mixture puppy for indoor keeping – but fortune has smiled upon him, he also found an owner!

The tabby member of our cat collection, Olema found an owner as well. The tiny little creature moved to a really great place – after such a bad start of life.

Their supporters have asked for help to the Bio-bedding through several channels, and even though we have only promised ours if some place is made free for them, once you get to know someone in need, you simply cannot get him out of your mind…hence… – even if place was not released – this week we had Bio Batyu arriving, also looking for an owner. We took him from the animal protecting organization taking the rest of the Bio bedding.

A tragic accident happened at our Dachshund group: Rovancs passed away. Our heartworm-infected black-tan elf does not exist any more. We do not know what happened – and why.

From among the group arriving from the raiser this week Saphire, Black King, Trüffel and Morris were neutered. Luckily all of them produced a negative heartworm test.

Saphire, the black-tan mini female moved to a young couple and even though the first day was not a really successful one, the ice broke later. Saphire got to a really great place, to the candidates sending the best self-presentational material of 2015.

We thought that Sprotni would not have to wait too long either, for him a Hungary-originated owner arrived – from Austria.

Horzsol has also found an owner in Austria, but he did so through our partner organization, AC Austria.

As usual, this week did not pass by without new arrivals either. Elegant, the specially beautiful mini Dachshund male was handed over to us by his owner – an extreme tremolous dog, also tending to panic. The future owner will also have a lot to do with him…

Papanni is at the kaninchen-mini border, a wire-haired Dachshund female, advertised at a web portal. There was not a massive interest for the 8-year-old dog, hence we stepped in – resulting in Papanni having a prospective owner.

The Békéscsaba animal protectors have asked for our help to save Jim Beam, a Dachshund mixture male, the murderer of several goose- and chicken. He was placed at the kennel row, but has put his hope to the witness-protection programme, hopefully rehabilitating him…Sure it will be so?

We took Füge and Fahéj from the Ajka flaying house, the 6-year-old Dachshund mixture couple had been given down by their owner. Their temporary home is at the kennel row, needed a bit of rehabilitation, but by now they can be taken for walks and are waiting for the real one – either together or separated. Of course they would also be happy for a temporary adoptive as well.

Fahéj és Füge

Nowadays no week passes by without a shocking rescue at our vizsla group. Animal protectors have asked for our help to save Lencsilány, wandering at a dam’s side in horrific condition. We have managed to find her original owners, who waived their rights to her. Currently they live abroad, have entrusted their dog to a friend, from whom she had escaped several months earlier. Temporarily she was placed at an animal hospital for examination and in order to carry out further check-ups.

Hisztis (Tantrum) Mirtill has arrived at our care as a found dog, her original owner resigned of her in the end.

Joda has got to us from his previous owners for family reasons, moved to a final family this week.

Gordon could leave the kennel row, moved to a temporary adoptive this week.

Lombi, the kitten taken care of by our Great Dane breed rescue group, moved to an owner.

Sába moved from her temporary adoptives to celebrate Christmas with her final family.
