What happened at Futrinka during week 3?

We like winter, love snow, but actually no animal protector can be completely happy about the cold that comes with it. We cannot avoid thinking of how the dogs living without a shelter, wandering or chained suffer these times. If you can, please show up for temporary adoption, so that we can place more and more dogs at warm homes. If you feel you would warmly accept a protegee for some time, apply for adoption at info@futrinkautca.hu !

At the group of our chanceless mixtures we have received the histology results of Noruz, the uncle abandoned at 10+ - we do not really have a reason to be happy about it. During last week’s operation the tumour could almost completely be removed, according to the test results it was malignant and agressive. So that we learn whether it spread on cell-level, we will have to get a control lab test in a month, following it ultra-sounds and X-rays every 2-3 months, also keeping immune-system strenghtening and liver-protection in sight.

It is always just shocking us when an elderly dog is put out to the street, in a cold weather like this it is simply life-threatening.

Old Timer arrived at us from Illatos út this week, he had been found in the street in a very poor state, was hardly alive. We were so nervous the first day of whether he survives at all. Luckily thorough nursing proved, by now he is feeling much better, enjoying the positive effects of a warm room. He had not been micro-chipped.

Cathy, the tiny Dachshund mixture lady, saved from among extremely bad circumstances, could start her owned life this week.

Dagi Maci was simply walking in to a plant, as someone being ready with his tasks and now continuing his trip – he headed for owned life, where did not hesitate much to conquer the beanbag and found the soft, warm blankets comfortable as well.

The dream owner has also shown up for Zara, the tiny, extreme shy little girl, he is experienced in handling a dog like her. They are already ahead in their way to become happy in her new home, even if it takes a longer time to reach the goal.

Tió and River, the two short-haired Dachshund mixture males arrived at us this week from Serbia.

Csongrádi Lizi, the 8-year-old short-haired Dachshund lady stayed alone, the neighbours took care of her. By now her good mood has returned, is waiting for the appearance of the new owners in a warm, comfortable room.

This week we had two adoptions and an arrival as well. The great piece of news is Henrik, becoming adopted again! It was not easy to find a loving, experienced and caretaking family to adopt him, but with the help of our trainer, Attila we managed! Thanks very much for him also! As for our first infos everything is going right, Henrik feels well, is very clever and everyone is fond of him!
We wish you a lot of happiness, Henrik!

The other happy one, getting adopted is Woki! He had been owned before, but returned to our Association’s care very fast. Now the real one has shown up for him! Following several visits and walks together Woki is by now taking a rest with his family – of course on the sofa J
We wish a lot of happiness for Woki, too!

The arrivee of the week is Woody. His advertisment caused a great turmoil on the internet, his owners saying they would change him for firewood. With the help of enthusiastic animal friends he landed with us. Skin and bones, full of wounds, with a bit tumour on his face – most likely caused by an injury, encapsulated afterwards. Regardless of these Woody is a wonderful, friendly and extremely hiding one! If anyone takes a look at him, will surely fall in love!

Békás Bubu had a purulent womb inflammation, actually got to the op room in the last minute, before something more serious would have happened. Something positive among the news is that her cysts were normal, but her breast tumour was malignant. In a month Bubu needs a control lab, following this needs to be checked every 2-3 months with an ultra-sound and X-ray, besides this immunization strengthening is also important in her case.

According to his age and condition Plapó took the stomach-twist operation so well that we could hardly believe it. Though, his heart gave it up. He became very sick, hence his temporary adoptive rushed to the heart specialist with him, but unfortunately during the examination Plapó’s heart stopped. His temporary adopter loved him, the whole family considered him a real family member. This eases our hearts a little bit, he could experience this feeling, thanks for them he could taste happiness, even if just for a short while.

Vaníliás Rozi has found her final family, needs to learn a lot, but her vizsla mate and owner are of her help in this.

Following a short period of owned life Kloff returned to our care. We are extremely disappointed, as it was not his mistake, being a really loving and special little one – now looking for an owner again.

Kloff’s mate was much more fortunate, Flecken became adopted. We had already known his family well, used to be the owners of a former protegee of ours – sadly passing away recently. Flecken was originally meant to move to his family in some weeks’ time, we could only organize it that way – but his family was so eagerly waiting for him that they just came from Germany to take him and start their new life together.

We moved several of our protegees during the weekend: Mandarin moved to a temporary adoptive, Monorocky and Monododo to the Farm, Kate, Bengó and Lali to family pansions.

Our annual operation is defined by the 1% of tax incomes, without this we would not be able to save a quarter of our dogs. We ask everyone to help our animal rescue work by donating us the 1% of their taxes! The tax number of Futrinka Association is 18258473-1-43, thanks for thinking of us when preparing your tax declarations!
