What happened at Futrinka during week 15?

Farm-school has continued at Piliscsaba, but besides this of course we had a lot to arrange around our protegees.

The week started pretty sad at our vizsla breed rescue group, our former protegee from 2011, Lottó returned to our care. His adoptive family moved abroad, according to their original plans he should have joined them, but life re-wrote these plans. Meanwhile Lottó also started escaping, for which the situation became uncontrollable. Forever guarantee is a part of our adoption agreements, meaning in case the owners are no more able to take care of a dog adopted from us, we take them back at our care – which we did with Lottó now. Luckily the changes have not worn him out, a very calm, well-behaving, obedient, sweet one, but truly an extremely escaping type. Now we are looking for him a final family with renewed strength.

Edmund is not a young one, a 10+ year-old, grey-faced vizsla uncle, but unbelievably nice and hiding. Not 100% healthy, but would very much love to live and find an owner, to whom he could hide on the sofa after a nice, slow walk and just sleep tight. Currently he is receiving numerous medicines and curing products, also participated in a treatment this week to strengthen his trembling legs.

Bükki Mogyoró left the Farm behind to move to a temporary owner with an option to stay. If everything goes right and he fits in well in his new family, they would like to adopt him.

Tango and Cash got to a rural flaying house as found ones, but as their original owner did not show up for them, they arrived at our care. They are a bit shy yet and would shake for immediate moves, but are very good-natured, young, friendly dogs.

Kertesi Geni and Gizi arrived together at our care, could not have wished anything more beautiful than moving to their final home together this week.

Tony Montana, the sweet, plush-addicted vizsla uncle found his final owner, his family had been eagerly waiting his arrival.

Csipike was found by animal friends, did not have a valid micro-chip and his original owner did not show up for him – hence got to our care.

Winn and Wally are unfortunately not in a good shape, are both hospitalized and on infusion, are not eating by themselves, lost their mood. We do trust their weak little body can win over the disease.

Buda-Huba was found in a yard by people passing by, in a state of being skin and bones. His owner did not need him any more, according to him he does not like him… The founders took him home and temporarily undertook his tending, we are helping them in finding him a final owner.

If you have not declared on the 1% of your personal income tax, you still have time to do it till 22nd May! Without the income from these 1%-s Futrinka Association would only be able to help a tiny part of dogs in need, this means the solid foundation for our animal-protective activity. Please, donate your 1% to Futrinka Association, our tax number is 18258473-1-43!

This week two new protegees arrived at the Great Dane breed rescue group.

One of them is Vilmoskörte, the 5-year-old male. He is an endlessly nice, always smiling one. Unfortunately had a positive test result for both heart- and skin worms, but we do believe this does not hinder him in moving to a happy, loving family.

Our other arrivee is Aldo, the young, 1-year-old blue male. His eyes are exudating pretty ugly, is thin and his joints are not that good either. Anyway, with time and taking care he will surely develop nice!

At our Dachshund breed rescue following the silence of the previous weeks luckily we can report on several adoptions now.

To our greatest joy Pöcök moved to an owner this week, following several meetings and time spent together. We do hope everything is going to be all right with her, as her soul was badly wounded by her previous life. We do count on the new owners, continung the caretaking and treatment started by us. It will take a long time for her to completely settle down, but we do hope only positive news are coming of her.

Brutus, the tiny male is also continuing his life as an owned one. No change arrived in his life, as his temporary adopter decided to keep him forever – he will also have a mate, Tücsi, the Dachshund girl.

Atax also got owned, just like Brutus, adopted by his temporary adoptive, meaning no real change comes to his life.

Sally headed for her new life on Thursday. She greeted the owner as a friend, as his visit meant love at first sight. She immediately fitted in to her new family, feeling absolutely fantastic with them.

Sissy was preparing eagerly to her move, her owners live in England, came home for their holiday and also to take the new family member with them. Sally will not be a solo dog, accompanies Wendy, a corgie.
