The atmosphere of our first adoption day for our
chanceless mixtures, organized at Kertem was so fantastic that we are already
planning to repeat it. The venue will stay Kertem, the date is 14 August,
Sunday, between 2 pm and 6 pm. We are looking for volunteers for the dog
transportation and for holding them, also, we are happy to welcome all the
visitors. Please save the date in your calendars!
Kismandela was fallen in love with by a younge couple
at the adoption day, they will take him at the end of July. The chance for a
personal meeting bought luck for this featureless, black dog.
Fantaszta has also raised interest at the party in
Kertem, we will see how it develops. Fantaszta underwent neutralization, but
unfortunately has heartworms, we have started her treatment.
After waiting for almost a year Liktor moved to a
temporary adoptive this week, having an option as well, if everything goes
right, he might become finalized. So far everything is all right, love is all
around, we are hopeful. He has been waiting for the real one since his tiny
childhood, it is time he gets it for his first birthday.
Bibir Zsuzska, the veterane mixture lady got owned
through our Austrian partner organization, AC Austria. This ramshackle, but
nice lady belonged even among the chanceless mixtures to the „almost
unbelievable to get adopted” category, but the miracle just happened!
The members of the two Sárospatak litters got their
due vaccinations this week, also the two females needed to get vaccined yet.
From the Sáros-litter the visually impaired Serleg and the healthy Sipirc are
still waiting for the real one. Both of them are males, will grow big. From the
Mandulás-litter the two females, golden Mantra and white-based spotted Matrac
are not candidates for ownership yet, also from among the males white Merre is
still waiting for his loving owner. They are ready to move from the middle of
July, continuation of the vaccination program is to be undertaken, as well as
the obligation for neutralization and heartworm-prevention – in case you are
interested, please send us a note.
As the vaccinations mean a significant extra cost to
us, already having a quite troubled cash box, we ask everyone who is in the
position, to support us in financing the Sárospatak litters. Please send your
donations to Futrinka Egyesület’s bank account at K&H Bank, 10404089-49575251-57561000
– indicate in the note column „ALAP
KÖLYKÖK”. Thanks a lot!
At the Dachshund group the week was a more silent one.
Two of our dogs moved to owners, got new arrivals, did the necessary vet rounds.
The details are as follows:
Pupek, the young blonde wire-haired Dachshund boy
moved to his new owner on Tuesday, was visited just last week, followed by
discussions with the candidates.
As he is an extreme shy one, we had long chats on the
to do-s with the owners, being routinous dog-keepers, but as there was a
serious task awaiting them, they accepted all our pieces of advice happily,
they will do everything to make Pupek a real family member.
Zsuzsu had been waiting for so long to get owned.
Finally a young, Hungarian couple living in Germany got their eyes on this
blond beauty. After long rounds of talks she left us on Friday to start her
new, owned life by her new mate, called Beni, being a westie male. She will
spend her future life in a beautiful surrounding, among the mountains. After
her arrival we soon got the first pieces of news and photos from her new home.
Great joy
has come to us this week. Crunch, one half of our couple, being treated for a
longer time for heartworm, produced two negative tests, meaning his status has
changed to cured.
Tőzike, the 6-month-old Dachshund mixture lady arrived
at us on Thursday from the Méra flaying house. An immensely nice, playful,
devoted little girl, immediately stealing everyone’s heart. We do hope to find
her dream owner soon.
Estike, the
3-year-old short-haired Dachshund lady arrived from Nyirbátor, found in the
street, with her owner not showing up for her. A very nice one, specifically
devoted to people, not even taking care of other dogs. She is looking at the
world through sad eyes. We would love to see her happy as soon as possible.
The necessary vet rounds also took place these days.
Bandu, Torma, Vignetta and Ribiszke are over their neutralization, all the four
of them being negative for heartworms, waiting for their future owners.
Our vizsla breed rescue group is over an intensive
week again, luckily even it is summertime – meaning a not too active period
regarding adoptions – we had several dogs getting owned as well.
Following his negative heartworm test Rikó underwent
neutralization, everything went well during the operation, he is recovering at
his adoptive’s home. We received several letters from interested candidates, we
do hope the real one is among them and soon he is placed in a final family.
Elba moved last week to a temporary adoptive with
options, getting together went smooth, so we just signed the final adoption contract,
she officially became an owned dog.
Totyó belongs to those fortunate
ones, who just needed to wait a short time for the dream owner. Our former
adoptive and at the same time a routinous helper of our Association adopted
him, already having a fantastic harmony with his four-paw mate and owner, he
will have a superb life in his family.
Jóna, the wire-haired and Frigyes, the short-haired
GSP guys got to our care from their former owner. Jóna was already accepting
visitors during the weekend, shared the same voice from the very first moment
on, meaning she will move to her final family during next week – we do hope
Frigyes will have the same luck and finds the real one soon.
Around Iza and Belle things just speeded up a little
bit this week, Belle moved to her final family, Mom Iza to a temporary adoptive
to accompany a former protegee of ours.
We are progressing quite slow with Szende’s
socialization, so this week we took her development a step further and moved
her to a routinous family pansioned adoptive of ours. Her fitting in the folk
went smooth, we do hope she is also able to make a huge step ahead in changing
her behaviour.
Csupi could leave the kennel row behind, though not
for a final family, but moving to a pansioned adoptive family of ours, to learn
living inside a flat – his status is still „looking for an owner”.
Ervin has finished his vaccination programme, got the
one on rabies this week, next week he will move to his final family.
Zsivány came to our care as a non-expected arrival
from his previous owners. He just did not understand what is happening around
him, the changes worn him out pretty much, but after a couple of days luckily
started to relax and open towards the people.
The first adopted member of Muki-family, Morcos will
continue his life besides his four-legged mate and family. In the weeks to come
several of his brothers will follow him, there are also ones still searching
for owners – we are trying to find them final families soon.
At the Great Dane breed rescue Raya became a candidate
for ownership.
For this beautiful dog lady during three long months
no interest was shown, this way we asked for help from our German partner organization
– they welcomed her. We do hope everything goes well and Raya can soon move.
