During the last but one week before year-end everyone is fully busy with
preparing for Christmas, cleaning the house, buying all the presents still on
the list, planning the menus to cook and bake. Still, animal rescue does not
stop this time of the year either, as there are people finding the feast of
love a suitable date to get rid of their dog.
Hence life at our vizsla breed rescue group this week was mostly about
arrivals, Mister Séf got to our care from the Egyek flaying house. As for the
first experiences he seems to be a trained one, for order and hand-signal will
sit down, can be led on the leash, does not pull, can be called back.
Tiborc became owned this week, but this did not mean a great change in his
everyday life – his temporary adoptives decided to want him forever in their
family.
Alexander got to our care because of the altered living conditions of his
previous owner, a beautiful and friendly one.
Topáz arrived at our care from ASKA Foundation, was placed at a family
pansion. Shyly nice, a wonderful-nature dog, can hardly believe to be able to
rest in a flat, in comfort.
Monododo and Monorocky, the Hungarian vizsla and GSP mates came to our care
from their former owner. Monododo took the changes easier, Monorocky needed
time and patience to get calm.
Vaníliás Rozi got to her owner as a found dog, being skin and bones – shy
was extremely jealous of their former dog, hence they asked for our help in her
placement. Rozi is friendly both with people and dogs, currently is living in a
family, accompanying several dogs. A playful, but obedient one, still needs to
learn walking on the leash and living inside a flat.
Vucus was orphaned by her owner’s death with his Dachshund mate – luckily
they did not have to wait long, this week Vucus also found her loving family.
Kate and Leopold, the two Hungarian vizsla mates got to our care from their
previous owner.
At the Dachshund breed rescue our would-be adopters were eagerly waiting
for their new family members as the Holiday season was approaching, we did
everything we could so that they could already spend Christmas together.
Shiva had been waiting for an owner such a long time – finally the one,
only wishing her has arrived.
Yorkó could also move to a very good place, will almost never be left
alone, but having someone around to cuddle him.
Pörc could move to accompany a nice wire-haired female, already conquering
the whole family, also found time for a fast cosmetic treatment to be in her
best shape for the family gathering.
Korom also moved to an owner, but unfortunately his happiness did not last
long, more on the issue a bit later.
The third member of Katona family, Baka also got owned. For him it was the
best present imaginable.
Boonz is a would-be adopted one, completely taking his temporary adopter’s
heart.
Our other candidate for adoption is Mr Aszat, will soon move to a young couple.
Alfréd, the 2-year-old mini Dachshund mixture arrived at us from Illatos
út.
Her former owner abandoned Cathy, the 8-year-old, very nice Dachshund
mixture lady, her previous life was not that good either. We would just love
that she lives a happy one from now on.
Kacaj, the young, 2-year-old Dachshund mixture lady was found in Csömör.
She loves people, but is frightened by dogs. Currently she is looking for her
original owner for 14 days.
At the Great Dane breed rescue the week was a more peaceful one, but we
have some pieces of news to share with you.
Isabelle, Bambusz’ mate became a candidate for adoption this week. Though
this Christmas she will not be able to spend in her family yet, but her
would-be owners are already eagerly waiting for her, so we do hope everything
is going to be all right and we can soon proudly present her joyful, adopted
pictures to You.
Our base group is currently taking care of three protegees, all of them
waiting for loving families. Till these families show up, our dogs are also on
the look out for temporary adopters to be able to learn living in a flat and
inside a city, also acquiring a lot of new skills.
Though shy Ügyes is a nice and agression-free one, so far he had never been
fortunate enough to have an owner, he has been at our care for more than two
years.
Palotás Peti arrived at our care with his mate, Panna, before they had
lived among extremely poor circumstances, chained. Upon his arrival he was
nice, but at the same time shy, at us he soon warmed up.
Also Panna’s shyness is long time gone, a bit flaky, nice, friendly, open,
interested in everything and human-centred one.
