What happened at the Futrinka on the 13th week of 2015?

From time to time groups from different companies visit us to strenghten their team through public works at us. This week CIB’s group visited our kennels.

The 85 th. jubilee Vizsla Tour was organized at Pusztavacs. Our Vizsla Rescue Division was present – as on every Vizsla Tour. We would like to thank here the organizers who help our work with the opportunity to be present at their events.

We also want to thank the supporting owners who supported our association and our protegees with donation of 103500 HUF, pet food and blankets.

From the protegees of our Vizsla Rescue Division this week Hessi and Pongrax found their new owners and Konica has an optional owner.

To the Vizsla Rescue two new dogs arrived. One of them is Késmárk a hungarian vizsla male the other is Salotta a vizsla mix female.

Couple of our dogs went through spaying procedure this week. All of them are fine. The dogs were Szajna, Rajna, Kávé and Zonga.

At the Dachshund rescue this week was about dogs met with an accident and bad conditioned dogs, one day wouldn’t pass without emergency. First dog was Fregoli the very skinny wire haired male whos picture circulated Facebook while he was staggeringly skinny. Fortunately we were able to place him at a foster family where his physical strenghtning has started.

The second dog met with an accident. For him the animal protection of Eger asked our help while the owner of the dog who was found by the chip did not want back the injured dog. Csekk was immediately taken to pets’ clinic where his hip and knee had to be operated. Fortunately after the surgery he moved to a foster home where he is recovering. The irons from his hip will be removed in 6 months.

In front of the eyes of one of our animal protecter fellow Nuti a short haired dachshund female was knocked down by a car near Szeged. She was also immediately taken to a vet where after her anti shock treatment her hip was operated. Based on her chip we were able to identify her owner but there was no phone number registered. But the owner family found us and they took home Nuti from the clinic and paid the cost of the treatment. We hope that they will look after their dog thousanfold better in the future while this time she was in luck.

This week a couple of our dogs went through spaying procedure which also ment that all of their heart worm test was negative. Several times we are asked that it would be possible to give certain dogs for adoption without spaying and our answer is always no while we would never not even by chance want to contribute to the birth of unwanted litters or somebody wanting to gain profit from one of our previous protegee.

The spayed females this week were Csipit, Nektárka, Karcsú and Rumbaba.

The group of spayed males was Iszrom, Korc, Kajak and Kenu.

The fact that Rumbaba did not spend long time with us is not a surprise. The interest in pure-breed dogs are much higher than in their less lucky aged or mix mates. Rumbaba moved to a family with a miniature schnauzer at Cegléd.

The big surprise of the week is that Lady13 has found her new owners, a loving family picked this old dog as their company and although the first day was not easy for Lady in terms of  integration but slowly the ice is breaking.

Also a surprise was Koxi the young mix male’s adoption from our group dealing with chanceless mix dogs. A surprise not because he was not deserving it but because there was not so many interest in him. But from now on he can continue his life as a member of a loving, active family.

Téboly the one eyed spaniel girl was visited by an austrian family and in her case the curse on her which kept her away from the chance to be adopted was broken while the family fell in love with her and adopted her.

Unfortunately we had a new dog this week Foltos Kormi who after his owner died was left behind at a house. Kormi moved to a foster home and we try to find him his forever home.
