Karcag animal protectors shared the photo of this dog. He was tied up to a coloumn with a short rope made from bike tyre and other wastes. They wrote that they had changed this rope and put a better lead with chain but they had no opportunity to keep him although his life was in danger continuously...We could not say no and Purpin joined us as another dog with heart worm... Now we have another dog who needs treatment.
We got five purebred jack russel terriers when a breeder decreased the number of their dogs. One of the them, a wire-haired girl, Connie Island, already has a potential family but the others – Princess Leila, Mackó brother, Alain and Rafkós are still waiting for permanent or temporary families.
We seem to have an almost adopted, almost travelling dog every week. This week Virsli was planning to leave but the new owner, an Austrian lady had an accident and, unfortunately, was taken to hospital and Virsli stayed with us.
Berény was taken to a countryside shelter by the ex-owner and then got to us. He is a very friendly wire-haired boy, who gets on with everyone and has a good nervous system. This week he was sterilized and can soon move to his new family.
The dachshund rescue group also has a new dog, Gimme, the wire-haired dachshund girl. She is likely to have been abused as she gets into panic and bites when people are nearby. Unfortunately, she has some mycosis due to her large and neglected fur. Her treatment has started.
Yoko, one of Yukka’s puppies was adopted again this week. Hopefully, this time we have found her permanent home.
Three new dogs joined the Hungarian pointer rescue group this week. Kabar was found in Szolnok. Vezse came from Füzesabony and Trini, the black, medium-size mixed girl comes from Mátészalka.
With the help of our German partner organizations five of ours long-time residents could leave to find their home in another country. The first feedback is that they have all the chances to do so. Among the travellers you can find Csabai Pille, Tampa, Brownie, Pásztor bácsi and Aurél.
This week we had a Pointer excursion, of course we took part. At the Városlőd excursion a donation worth 70,000 HUF was raised. The money will be sent on the medical care of our rescued pointers. We also got some tins and tick collars. Thank you very much!
