What happened at the Futrinka on the 16th week of 2015?

Finally an adoption day! Many of you would not believe what a chance a well-organized, well-advertised adoption day is for our protected dogs, as here it is the personal simpathy that decides. And that is important. Really. This week we had the chance to take part in the event of Zöld Zebra, with a huge number of dogs and happy volunteers. Despite the cold weather we managed to take it till the end of the day and enjoyed ourselves a lot. Thanks very much for the opportunity!

The dogschool provided by the team of www.kutyatrening.hu is a huge opportunity for our dogs. This week the group also got together to learn new tricks and at the same time their ties towards people are also strenghtened. Thanks a lot!

Two dogs arrived to the Great Dane breed rescue this week. Both of them came from their previous owners and were placed at our kennel row, but they would love to find their final families or at least a temporary one. You can find them under the names Nord and Nico.

The group of our chanceless mixtures grew this week with a beautiful and young setter-vizsla mix, Vörös – we took him  from the Ajka flaying house. He was meant to go to a temporary adoptive, but his activity level proved too high. He is looking for a dedicated, active owner..

Several neutralizations took place this week. This at the same time means that these dogs’ heartworm tests resulted negative, which is superb news, as unfortunately the chance of new infected dogs arriving is quite high.

Béla is a smallsize male dog, whose penis is unfortunately always out for innervation problems, meaning it needs greater attention, cleaning. This week besides neutralization he had a plastic surgery for the third time, but sadly again unsuccessful.

Our jack russel terriers have also been neutralized. Connie has a prospective owner, but Princess Leila, Alain, Brother Mackó and Rafkós are still awaiting an owner. Currently we would also be happy wirh temporary adoptives, tobegin their socialization .

The Dachshund breed rescue had a really good week, with several protected dogs moving to owners.

The starter for the week was Korc, getting to an active family. We do hope he will have a really good life with them, at the same time the family also being happy with this beauty.

Iszrom was chosen at the adoptive day of Zöld Zebra, the check-up of his new family happened the very same day, meaning  he could already spend that evening as an owned dog – with two beagles.

Zenka, the elderly kaninchen female has found her final home in Austria, with the help of our partner organization, Animal-Care Austria.

Our group grew with Üde, the wire-haired dachshund female, previously advertised at a website as to be taken for free because of her escapes. Letting into the house Üde enjoys comfort very much, does not think of escape, but unfortunately she is in her heat, meaning for some weeks more she cannot be adopted.

Páva has a potential owner. Before moving we have repeated her heartworm test, giving a negative result. New tests are there to come, but if they all prove negative, we can declare that Páva has left the heartworm infection behind.

The week did not go by without happenings at our Hungarian vizsla breed rescue either.
Fibi, the approximately 4-year-old tiny vizsla girl, who – despite her young age – has had several owners already – this week moved to Germany, to a new family waiting eagerly for her.

The other one moving to an owner is Konica, the German vizsla lady, getting to our care just recently from the Karcag flaying house – she was so lucky that could immediately move to a temporary owner. Not much time has gone by while she reached her owners completely falling in love with her, in the end deciding on keeping Konica.

Gomez, the wire-haired Hungarian vizsla boy arrived at our care this week, his former family had to part him because of a moving. He has got to our Tárnok kennel row after the vet check-up, currently being the darling of everyone. It seems he will not have to wait too long for a new owner, being extremely famous already.

Our other arrival is Csirik, the approximately 2-year-old Hungarian vizsla male, who could move to his temporary adoptive from the Csongrád flaying house. His weight is growing steadily, but there is a way ahead of him in this. Unfortunately his routine heartworm test proved positive, hence we immediately started his treatment.

This week two of our former protected dogs, Tapír and Müti, already living with their owner, have undergone neutralization. In their case the operation could not have been done sooner because of their physical conditions, but by now have become stronger, meaning the neutralization had no obstacles
