The
end of the year is always about the newcomers. This time was no exception so we
have some things to share with you.
The
penultimate week at our Vizsla Rescue Group happened to be quite busy.
The
heartworm test of Ronja and Kalamajka came back as negative so they could go
through the process of castration.
Viola
has arrived with diarrhea from the Illatos út Animal Shelter. The shelter
reached out to us for help because they are in charg of plenty of dogs and they
couldn’t risk the others getting infected with Viola’s disease. She is in our
care with the reservation of rights.
Vakkantó
was spotted during his vagabonding. He didn’t have a chip and his owner wasn’t
looking for him hence we were asked to help him.
Kiskifli
and Nagykifli were found ont he streets. The mother turned out to be expecting
babies. Her only surviving baby, Sajtos Kifli, has found himself a new loving
home this week.
Báró’s
owners moved away and the neighbours didn’t fancy him walking around the area
with no supervision thus we were asked to help. Allegedly, he got beaten up and
his teeth were kicked out as well, however, we found him in a good condition.
There aren’t traces of violence on him and his teeth are also unharmed so we
can’t put our fingers on this.
Doggy
was taken into our care with no chip and since his owner didn’t reach out to
us, we found him a new family this week.
Kicsi
Pötty also moved in with his new family this week.
Animal
protectors asked for our help in the case of Csokis Süti. His previous family
had to move to a new place, their situation has become uncertain. They
attempted to find him a new home, unsuccessfully, hence Csokis Süti could have
ended up in a shelter or could have been put to sleep.
At
our basic group we had six newcomers this week.
Hordós
Talpas has arrived from his previous owners. His name originates from his
lifestyle: he was kept on leash and a barrel was his house. Christmas gave him
a chance to start over, in hopes of a better life. Now he enjoys his newly
gained freedom.
Prior
to Christmas, six dog arrived from the shelter of Edelény, five out of them are
now being taken care of at our basic group: Grincs, Karak, Fagyöngy, Bólé and
Mákos Bejgli.
At
our Dachshund Rescue Group we have gained several new proteges.
Panina
is a 3-year-old girl who has been takein into our care from her previous owner.
As soon as she arrived, she has stolen our hearts. We hope she will find her
new home soon.
Limó
and Brut are two young Dachshund cross breed males who have arrived from the
shelter of Heves.
The
one-year-old wire haired Dachshund cross breed Sykes has arrived from the
shelter of Edelény.
Piper,
the one-year-old wire haired Dachshund cross breed girl was hit by a car. She
could leave the hospital after three weeks of therapy and now she is living
with her temporary owner. Although, she has a splint on her front left leg as a
cause of the injury and she still has to take medicine for her joints, she is
in an excellent mood and she soon will recover.
We
were asked to help at four Dachshunds arriving from Serbia: Abu, Moka, Pabló, and
Erin. They are all short haired, tiny and very thin. We will provied you with
information about them later on.
This
week Bejke, who hadn’t been expected to be adopted due to his heartworms, found
his new home. He was adopted by her temporary owner as their relationship
turned out to be love at first sight. As we were finished with all the
paperwork, his heartworm test came back negative as well.
Our
second adopted dog was Gomez. His life wans’t disturbed in the process because
he was taken home by his temporary owner, just like in the case of Bejke. He
could celebrate Christmas with his new family.
