Mokka

Suck to be Mokka…again….

Mokka…he has a very tough story and I am getting to the point that I don’t think I have enough strength to write down over and over again, but life makes me do it nonetheless. What I see is that there are those few lucky dogs and then there are the ones who always seem to get the short end of the stick and are not able to find the one home, the one family to whom they would give everything, who would be their partner for better or worst through their short life on this planet. No matter how much I want it not to happen, seems like Mokka ends up coming back to us over and over again.
Now you are expecting me to explain why is he returned to us all the time, what prevents people from bonding with him, why do people consider him an object they just don’t need after a while.
Mokka is coming back again and we have until the weekend to find a place for him to live, a family to care for him. We hope against all odds to find a forever family to love him, but it would be wonderful if only found a foster home at this time. Fostering Mokka is free - we pay an 800 HUF/day alimony after him, we provide the dry food and all other things he needs. If you feel like you could provide a foster home for Mokka, please contact us by email at info@futrinkautca.hu with the subject ‘MOKKA’.
Mokka’s story began in 2006 when he was born – that makes him 8 years old today.
He was rescued along with another puppy from a shelter in Paks city, giving him the hope of a better life. He has got his vaccinations and micro chip and he was placed into a foster home. Shortly after there came the seemingly perfect family to take him home – forever.
It all went really well until Mokka grew up – then something must have happened because the family all of a sudden decided they didn’t need an adult dog. When Mokka arrived back to us, we realized Mokka never got neutered albeit the family’s declaration that he has. So we had to pay for his surgery. As we couldn’t find a foster home at the time, Mokka had to move to our kennels in Tarnok. He very quickly became depressed in that environment, as he had been living with a family all his life up to that point. His depression manifested in constant barking, running into the kennel walls, and losing a lot of weight.
After an extensive search for a suitable match, we have found a foster home who eventually became his second home. It wasn’t a smooth relationship, the family indicated many times that they wanted to give Mokka back to us. First he blamed Mokka’s issues with other dogs and also people during their walks, then he found many other reasons. At the end though we always worked it out and Mokka stayed with them. The final blow for Mokka came when the family had a baby. It is time for him to come back to us again. We really do not want to put him into the kennels again, as we fear his depression could get the best of him, and at this age he could possibly give up on life completely. It sure wasn’t in his New Year plans to see us like this again…
I beg of you All to spread to word about Mokka. This unlucky dog, who’s been trying but failing to find his forever home for most of his life. The families who brought him back claimed the dog could not fit into their life, but what we had to realize was that they couldn’t fit the dog in, not the other way around.
If anybody could accept Mokka – with or without our financial assistance – please contact us as soon as possible at info@futrinkautca.hu. We would like to place him with someone who has experience with dogs and can provide a comfortable home for him inside, lots of love, play and fun. Thank you!
