What happened at Futrinka during week 48?

This week winter officially arrived, but luckily weather was really nice to us. Though Christmas is a bit further away, we were already engaged with preparational works throughout the week, as held our Association’s Christmas party on Sunday – to our greatest joy a lot of you have visited us on this occasion. It is always a fantastic feeling to meet our former protegees with their owners, being happy, smiling. We do hope you also enjoyed yourselves with us!

Many of you have brought extremely delicious sweets to our cookie counter, thanks very much for them also this way! We again had a Christmas cake, and just a superb one! Thanks very much for it for Gabi Surányi, a firm member of our team, being a temporary adopter as well.

For the beautiful photos we are grateful for Erika Chikán photographer! All of the pictures are uploaded to the Facebook-site of the event!

Bio Böbe arrived at our care from Illatos út, as the Mother of the Bio-family. Even though she has a good nerve system and is a kind one, somehow noone showed up for her – but this week with the help of our Austrian partner organization, AC Austria she could finally leave her pansion place and start a new life in Vienna.

Bio Bambusz, the shy mixture lady is also a member of the Bio family. Her neutralization was still due, we had it done this week. For safety’s sake we also made a heartworm test, luckily it resulted negative.

Our vizsla breed rescue group had a busy week again, with several veterinary rounds to be carried out, but due to our full-house operation we had no arrivals – on the other hand luckily had some adopted ones.
Kloff welcomed visitors following several unsuccessful attempts – luckily this time he was fallen in love with at first sight. He moved to his final family right this week, he had been warmly awaited for.

Pixel, the weimaraner arrived at our care from his former owner. Upon his arrival he turned out to had been adopted from another animal protective organization, we informed them on the case – still during the week he returned to his previous temporary adopter.

During one night, with everyone in the house asleep Matifu opened his room-kennel’s door, followed with the entrance door and ran away. Luckily his adopter found him a couple of hours later, but we moved our „Houdini” to a more „escape-safe” place.

Unfortunately Kolompos is in severe pain, crying a lot and chewing his leg. Sadly his condition does not develop as it should, it is totally heartbreaking to see him this way – he should be living the careless life of puppies right now.

Uncle Habókos should be operated for his extreme size prostates, but it would be a highly risky intervention because of his heartworms and cough. Poor elderly one is multiply sick, will soon get a heart ultra sound to see if he can be operated.

Zétény is having his full-portion food again, though he needs time to eat it, but the most important thing is he is eating again by himself. He is not putting on weight yet, but did not lose it either during the last weeks, also, the capillaria worms started to exit his body, resultedly we are very hopeful. What is an even better piece of news is that Zétény, being apathetic before is waggling now upon his temporary adopter’s call.

Konika arrived at our care from a rural flaying house, was given for adoption by our Association in 2015, but after an owned year returned to our care. His temporary adopter now decided to keep him forever in her family, meaning he officially became an adopted one this week.

At the Great Dane breed rescue Sherlock, our beautiful shy boy moved to a temporary adopter this week, also having an option to stay. Sadly baron Morton passed away, leaving his loving owners in deep grief. Though he is irreplacable, his family decided to help an orphaned one – choosing Sherlock. We do hope to inform you soon on the adoption of our big boy.

Bambusz, the 2,5-year-old yellow dog arrived at our care this week. He is just a kind big boy, making friends easily – we need to arrange his vaccinations and neutralization yet, but following these he will be ready to fly to his owner’s arms.

Isabelle, the beautiful, neutered 5,5-year-old girl arrived at us as the mate of Bambusz. She is a bit more closed because of the many changes around her, but also a very kind one. For further infos please contact us at nemetdogsos@gmail.com.

Another arrival landed at us for the end of the week, Blondi, a 4-year-old black lady. Following her initial confusion she got used to life at the kennel row pretty fast. Soon she has to undergo thorough medical check-ups as she has a secondary hypertyreosis (thyroid overactivity), which can be kept asymptomatic with daily medicine-taking.

At the Dachshund breed rescue we had several adoptions this week, always being highly important for us.

KisKarak moved to his new home on Friday – everything was perfectly prepared waiting for him. He greeted his new owners gladly, we do hope fitting in will neither mean a problem for them.

Caramell, the 6-month-old wire-haired mixture lady did not have to wait long for an owner – a young couple adopter her, she would not be much alone and will surely learn everything she needs in her new life.

Maszatos is a very good one, we had no doubt if someone is meeting him, they will not be able to resist. His visitors did not think long when took their decision. The adoption had a bit of an emotional atmosphere as well, as it was carried out during our Christmas party.

Panka-Manka, the 3-year-old black-tar female got to our care from Győr, she is currently under treatment as had an abscess on her side, we are cleaning it every day, she is getting better and better.

Gramafon, the wire-haired male, adopted for the last 7 years returned to our care because of his owner’s illness.
