What happened at Futrinka on the 45th week of 2015?

An eternal truth is that withouth help from our supporters we are unable to provide help, and this many times does not mean financial aid, but temporary adoption, transportation or contribution as a rehabilitation helper. And this time again we ask for something like this, as we cannot save them in another way. „Them” means now a dog family, living at the yard of a mentally non-stable person, whom a vet of ours is trying to help, but cannot place them either. We cannot save all of these unsocialized teens all together now, but are trying to help them out one by one. Hence, the one adopting the puppy currently at our care, ensures a place for the following one, also in case someone is able to step in as a temporary adoptive, could help us a lot.

Biobodza was a really fortunate one, as she arrived and at the same time became owned as well. From this time on she will live in the IX. district of Budapest as an indoor pet.

This fast move of Biobodza made place for the arrival of Biobarka, being a 4-5-month-old little boy. He does not know much about the world, but is a very good-hearted puppy, wishing to meet all of someone’s expectations.

And even though we do not usually do it, this time we would also like to introduce Bio Batyu, still living in the yard with two of his brothers, able to join the Futrinka team only when he has a place. You know, when Biobarka finds an owner or someone shows up to temporarily adopt him.

Even withouth the Bio Banda we would have had an intensive week at the chanceless group. The midsize, fury ladies got into trouble after the death of their owner, now waiting at the kennel row in Tárnok that someone falls in love with them. Both of them were neutralized this week, none of them having heartworms, all in all, they are ready to move to a family.

Felhő was also neutered, and though – being a kuvasz mixture – noone sees a family dog in him, we do believe someone is going to fall in love with and adopt him.

Molly, the elderly Irish setter lady found her home in Germany this week. Our partner organization, Setterburg helped the adequate placement of Molly.

The Pacsi shelter in Hajdúböszörmény has taken Brigi from the local flaying house and called our attention to her. Though we are operating with full house, looking at the picture we simply could not say no to her. We estimate Brigi’s age at around 5-years, extremely thin, hence our primary task now is to ensure she puts weight on, to look much better – luckily she has a good appetite to reach this.

It is always a really sad occassion when a former protected dog of ours gets back at our care, this time it happened again. Pátka was adopted in 2010, now getting back to us for family reasons, after long rounds of negotiations. Together with Pátka we also took Smiley, even though she had not been adopted from us, the family adopted her after the arrival of Pátka – but as we do not leave a partner dog behind, she also came to us.

P. Dórika has arrived at our care with her mates after the death of their owner. Dórika is approximately 12-years-old, hence it is a huge happiness to us that yesterday she moved to an owner. Her new family had been waiting for her eagerly, she will join a Weimarer vizsla and spend her future life in great-great love.

Gyeni, the vizsla guy arriving from the Győr shelter produced a negative heartworm test, hence he could undergo neutralization.

The Great Dane breed rescue had two arrivals this week – one of them after a short period of family life – had been adopted, but right after this coming back (Sába), the other taken from the Hajdúszoboszló shelter, named Ozmin, unfortunately being heartworm-positive.

Lordi was neutered this week

Erin could fortunately move to an owner.

To be disappointed in someone is an extremely bad feeling, and when it is an animal protector mate, that hurts in a multiple way. Manyika almost paid with her life for being adopted, taken wounded from among the cars – the rescuers calling us as her microchip has not been re-registered yet by the new owner. Manyika luckily came out of the shock, waiting for a family again.

Also besides Manyika this week was about saving veterans, though we shall not…The age-group balance has shaken up and as the elderly dogs tend to get stucked in, also checking their condition is more costly, after a while we simply cannot take more dogs…

Remus and his mate were left alone in a yard, unfortunately the Dahchund mixture lady has died for unknown reasons. Remus was luckily saved, now we are trying to strengthen him a little bit. He was very much exposed to cold weather and is thin. He does not get on with male dogs, but friendly with females. We are also looking for a temporary adoptive for him.

The owner of Csobodri and Csomorzsi had a complete nervous breakdown, was taken to a hospital, the dogs left behind. They are not in good condition, in addition, Csobodri is blind. For him we managed to find a temporary adoptive, for Csomorzsi, the veteran female we are still looking for a warm place.

We could not make it if we did not have some pieces of news also on dogs finding their families, moreover, two of our long-time stucked in protected ones left us.

Lénia basically grew up at us, now finally the perfect owner has arrived, a young couple adopted her.

Kenu was not luckier either till this point, but now we do hope he has managed to find a permanent place. We are really crossing our fingers for him, being a super dog, only deserving good things from now on.

We will also have a Christmas donating action this year, now we will help 180 kids at the Hős street ghetto with a Santa Claus-packet through Kontúr Association, providing them meaningful leisure-time activities. If someone could donate even one package, please, do it, it would mean a lot. The maximum value of a package is HUF 2.000, should be unisex and shall contain besides chocolate some fruits and a tiny, durable gadget also, like a pen, calendar or key ring.

Szimpla Kert is ours on the last weekend of November, we can cook at the Közös Lábos (Common Dish) programme, also a cookie-fair takes place. Come and join us in eating with us, for us!
