What happened at Futrinka during week 10?

Week 10 also brought us a lot of organizational and other type of tasks, but to our greatest pleasure again several of our protegees moved to their owners and could start their new, happy lives with their families.

At our base group Árnyék participated at a control ultra-sound check-up, even his vet did hardly dare to believe it was possible, but the „things” his stomach had been full of, and which were declared to be impossible to be leaving him on a natural way, have just done so because of the proper quality and quantity of food he has received. We are just extremely happy for not having to put him to a highly risky operation.

We had two new arrivals this week: PuliPajti and Eastwood, coming as mate dogs with their vizsla bros.

At our vizsla breed rescue group the dedicated owner-searchers of the week were the D-babies, were given extra attention to be able to find their owners as soon as possible. Dilara, Donika and Delia are brothers, arrived at our care last July with their Mom, Danke from the Debrecen flaying house with the help of the local animal protectors. On approximately the very same day we were asked by the Füzesabony animal protectors to help an orphaned puppy – meaning Daikiri became an adopted brother of the family. If you had not known their story, you were not able to tell he does not come from this litter, they look so much alike.

Matifu, being all the time happy and in a good mood became letargic laterly, with his legs trembling continuously – first only the back ones, by now also the front legs. An X-ray was needed to find its cause, the result simply shocked us. He has a bullet in his thigh, most likely for a really long time, but only caused symptoms now.

From the trio, from among Gizi and Gini their mixture mate, Szotyi flew out as first from our care – his owner was eagerly waiting for him, their happiness was just overwhelming.

Mákgubó’s heartworm test proved positive upon his arrival, but using the slower, at the same time safer method he proved a negative repetitive test. He has undergone neutralization and would be ready to get adopted – we only need to find his dream family yet.

James Bond’s routine heartworm test proved negative, meaning he got neutered, also his minor cut was sewn together on his leg to ensure a faster recovery.

Following Hutch this week his brother, Starsky got also adopted.

Violin and his doberman mate, Eastwood arrived at our care in a very bad condition – they accepted the veterinarian check-up without a word, blood samples were taken from them, their ears cleaned and their nails cut. So far they could not receive vaccinations yet, unfortunately they are skin-worm affected – soon a control check-up is needed. They do not have any appetite, hence receive infusion and vitamins.

BodzaBori and her puli mate, PuliPajti arrived at our care following the death of their former owner. BodzaBori is a nice and friendly one, easily adapted to her new environment – not like PuliPajti, chattering his teeth all the time.

Tony Montana got to our care from his previous owner, with his cuteness and endlessly nice nature immediately got everyone off their feet – his future family will surely find a treasure in him. Regarding his age an active one, we would bravely recommend him to families with a small kid or beginners in dog-keeping, a real dream-dog.

During the weekend two of our protegees, Zsella and Jennke flew out of our care, thanks to our foreign partner organization.

Füli Gergő arrived at our care from his former owner, an active and good-natured dog, ready for adoption after his neutralization.

From among the protegees of Great Dane breed rescue Dorly got adopted this week! She arrived at our Association’s care in March 2016, since then got adopted several times – and returned the same amount. A real boomerang one – though she is not a problematic dog, things simply did not work out – till now! Now the owners of a former dog of ours came to meet Dorly, mutual sympathy evolved at first sight – and finally Dorly can live at a final, loving, experienced family.
All the best, Dorly!

From the Dachshund breed rescue two dogs could move to family, both of them had been waiting for the real one for a long time – even though both of them being a very nice and kind dog.

Mustár is a long-haired Dachshund mixture puppy, a found one. A very clever, nice dog, moved to the the city centre now – according to the first pieces of news she is behaving just perfectly when her owner is working. She is still getting to know the noises of traffic, but with the help of her loving owner they will just get over any obstacles. We wish them a lot of happy years together!

Csillagtök is a 3-year-old, very nice Dachshund mixture male, used to be owned once, but his elderly owner has passed away and he was taken back to the shelter – from where help was asked for him. Now he could move to a family with a small kid, behaving perfectly from the first moment on – taking great walks, which he is enjoying very much. We do hope everything is going to be all right in the future, too and he will be able to live his life as a happy dog from now on.

We had several arrivals the last days.

Linzer is a 2-year-old wire-haired female, endlessly nice and curious. Unfortunately her two back legs are lame, meaning she needed to be operated immediately – and from the hospital she did not return in a good condition. Her urine needs to be pushed out, is not able to hold her fecalia back and cannot stand on her legs.
We will do everything to get her in all right. Currently her legs are getting massaged every day, we would also like to take her to acupuncture and rehabilitation. Please cross your fingers for this nice little girl, would really deserve getting better – and if you can, please support her, as already the costs of the operation were quite high. You can donate her at our bank account 10404089-49575251-57561000  - please add to the note column: Linzer.
Thanks very much for your help!

Kacat’s owner moved away and simply left his dog alone on the street – the residents of the village fed her, then asked for help. Kacat is a short-haired Dachshund mixture female, a friendly and nice one. We are looking for her the owner by whose side she could live happily and safe all her life.

Sissy is a 5-year-old Dachshund mixture male, left by her owner in a pansion. In her we got to know a calm, nice, affectionate little girl.
Soon we are back with positive news on her.
