What happened at the Futrinka on the 18th week of 2015?

We were donated this amount of dogfood from one of our German patner organization this week, to be stored at the garage of the president of our assocation till it is used. We will try to solve the feeding of our Tárnok kennel row dogs from it, meaning a great help to us!

Three new dogs arrived this week to the group of chanceless ones, coming from the Kisvárda shelter. URH is an old Hungarian vizsla male, getting on pretty well with everyone, a calm dog with a good nerve system.

Antenna, the middle-aged Hungarian vizsla female was wandering together with URH. She is a clever, smart and active one, unfortunately tends to escape from the garden. Their original owner did not show up, which is quite unbelievable, but this way they can be freely adopted.

Szevasztavasz, a Hungarian vizsla mixture female once was also living at the Kisvárda shelter, then landed at us. A humoruos, active, friendly dog.

Huba, taken months before from the Ajka flaying house, could move to an owner this week. We thank a lot to his temporary adoptive for the help,  as Huba became  absolutely ready to being adopted under his care.

Unfortunately we do not seem to get so many applications for our veteran setters. From among them Rocky, an arrival from the Tatabánya flaying house could move to Germany this week, thanks to our partner organization.

Also found his final place abroad Salmon, the middle-aged English setter male, with whom the next owner will also have a lot to do – as Salmon isn't familiar with living in a flat , so in this field his socialization has shown great lack. Hence basically all the local prospective owner applicants changed their minds.

The Hungarian vizsla breed rescue team had quite a busy week.

We had Cenke (the light brown) and Csipetke (the chocolate-coloured) arriving at our care, appr. 8-week old female vizsla mixture puppies. Cenke and Csipetke were found bound up in a nylon bag by the road. So far their short lives have not started so good, but thanks to those who found and helped them, it did not finish almost immediately. Currently they live at temporary adoptives, continuing their vaccination program.

Not much time after the babies came Zémona, the young vizsla mixture girl. A found one, without a chip, for 14 days she is looking for her original owner, meanwhile living with temporary adoptives – where it turned out immediately that Zémona is a really nice, caressing little teenager, hungry for love.

This week proved to be that of the ladies’, as Palma, the appr. 1-year-old Hungarian vizsla girl also arrived to us at the weekend. Given to our care by her former family, because they're  moving abroad. Currently she is waiting for the application of owners at a dog pension. Palma is a very nice, very active, flaky vizsla girl, with a lot ahead of her to learn.

We also had a non-planned arrival this week, Álmos, also given in by his former family. He attacked, growled and in the end several times even bit them – they had already planned him being put to sleep when we got news and took him. When a dog attacks his owner, this is usually caused by the lack of education and that of being overloved – it is also the case of Álmos. He has started socialization with us and we do trust that soon we will come back with good news on him.

Luckily besides the many arriving dogs we also had 4 of them moving to owners as well. With the help of our partner organization abroad Shakira, Uborka, Vadkörte and Deres could start their journey at the weekend. We wish very happy further lives to them with their families.
Shakira landed at us from the Csaba Animal Protectors, then was placed at an owner, later coming back to our care.

Uborka is also over an unsuccessful ownership-attempt, which wounded the sensitive soul of this otherwise nice and caressing guy.

Vadkörte arrived to us from the Orosháza Civil Animal Protection Foundation. He was found wandering in the streets, not chipped, his original owner did not show up for him.

Deres, the huge vizsla boy came from the Győr Flaying House, where he had been placed by his previous owner.

We have planned three neuterizations for this week, but unfortunately Kabar, the vizsla boy found in Szolnok, produced a positive heartworm test, so his treatment has started, but of course the operation had to be cancelled.

Luckily Csibuk’s test became negative,so he could undergo the neutering – has a prospective owner, next week he can start his recovery at his new family.

Izeusz, the small, active vizsla mixture son of Izolda, has also was negative on the test, is already over the neutering, meaning there is no barrier yet any more in front of becoming owned.

Dachshund breed rescue group always seems to have a protected dog, who for one reason or another is extremely unlucky. Virsli, our young mixture is surely that, as in spite of recovering from a serious demodex infection, and being a good natured, clever dog, noone wants to adopt him. When getting an Austrian candidate, they stepped back on the day of his journey. Now it happened again. We stepped the second time into the very same river. Of course Virsli does not have the faintest idea of this, but would love a final home at last…

This way noone was adopted from the Dachshund group this week.
On the other hand, we had two arrivals. One of them, Olivia King arrived from the Balassagyarmat animal protectors.

Artúr arrived from his hunter owner, as a first step we could only place him on the kennel row

Maybe many of you still remember the story of Fregoli. The young wire-haired Dachshund male was found unbelievably thin, all his bones cracking. At his temporary adoptive family he managed to recover by now to such an extent that he could undergo neutering.
