What happened at Futrinka during week 15?

Futrinka Association was founded in 2006, meaning we are 10 years old this year, and we are trying to call attention on it by all possible means, as we have come a long way till here: the original team consisted of just a few members, donating previously agreed upon monthly amounts to be used for rescue – by now we have become a country-wide known organization.

Dachshund rescue was celebrating this week. Many already owned Dachshunds and mixtures, plus the ones still awaiting adopters have partied with us, the event was spent in a good mood, chatting. We also collected donations for two organizations. InDaHouse could take chocolate and long-life food, Adomány Taxi toys, children- and adult clothing, long-life food and household utensils. Thanks very much for all of those participating and bringing donations with them.

Our cake was ordered by the head of breed rescue The Cake, the professional photos were made by Vizslafotózás. Thanks very much for their participation as well!

Of course the week was not dedicated solely to celebrations.

Two of our former protegees returned to us, again making us not understanding people…Túrás was not away for long, no problems arose with him. One of his adopters did not take it well that the dog was left alone in the flat.

The other one was spotted by a watchful helper of ours at an ad portal, showed without a picture. The owners did not even bother to call us. Fregoli used to be owned for years, but reportedly had separational fear. Most likely not without a reason. He came back to us with neglected hair and a troubled soul.

Fickós, the 8-year-old Dachshund male arrived at us from an owner. He got to a temporary adoptive, waiting for his final one there. The one will surely make a good deal with him.

A rural breeder transported two Dachshund males to a small shelter, under one year of age. We took both of them, named them Musa and Banán. We immediately started their vaccination programmes, as had been given none before.

We organized several neutralizations for the week. The most urgent one was that of Puci, as he moved to an owner after the operation. A family fell in love with the shy Dachshund lady while at the kennel row in Tárnok, they were waiting for her.

Miniszőr, the „clone” also underwent the operation, luckily woke up nice, everything was all right with her.

Polli was not only neutered, unfortunately his tail, broken down at the accident had to be amputated. A Dachshund-type is quite strange this way, but there was no other solution in his case. We do hope a final owner appears soon in his life.

The re-testing of our heartworm-infected ones were due as well, luckily two of them managed to get rid of these parasytes, meaning their chances for ownership might also grow. Cupcake is a fairy Dachshund lady, wishing to find a family together with her still heartworm-affected mate, Crunch. Zsebpénz is a type of basset-Dachshund, young and with a great nervous-system. Someone will really be lucky to have him.

The breaking news for the week was Raul moving to an owner, but since then we are already aware that the initial enthusiasm was followed by disappointment because of Raul’s chicken-liquidation, also his return was thought of. We will see.

It is really not difficult to find a dog, unfortunately there are many wandering around. If someone decides not to leave them on the street, should give a chance so that its safe placement is solved. Noone is really glad for a non-vaccined, left out dog, as we do not have a place and cannot risk the life of our other dogs, not completing their vaccination programmes yet. Sógun will be looking for his original owner for two weeks, afterwards can be adopted. If someone could contribute to the costs of keeping him, reaching HUF 30.000 monthly, we would be really grateful, as had not planned with them. We would await the donations to our account at K&H Bank, our account number being 10404089-49575251-57561000. Please indicate at the note column: ALAP SÓGUN. Thanks very much!

Zizeg, the newly arrived Belgian shepherd was hospitalized, his neutralization wound becoming inflamed to such a horrific extent that caused her urine becoming bloody as well. Zizeg is also skin-wormed, meaning her recovery is a slower process. We are looking for an active adoptive for Zizeg! info@futrinkautca.hu

The Farsang kids received their next vaccination, Zigi moved to an owner. Sadly this litter is flying out just slowly…we do not understand the reason for it, as they will stay small-size.

An old team member, Abszolút moved to a temporary adoptive from the kennel row. The puppy had never lived in a flat before, but is behaving perfectly from the first moment on, is housebroken, does not ruin the flat, uses all the comfort equipment as required. Unbelievable, is it not? We are also just wondering how clever this little dog is.

At our vizsla breed rescue Pötty could leave the hospital after his sickness last weekend – according to the check-ups a strong, but fast-course inflammation caused his malaise.

Bendi also came to us from his owner, we only managed to take him after several attempts, as had not been taken care of lately – neither the leash could be put on him, nor wanted to get in the car, tried to attack our volunteers growning.

This week two of our protegees, Szenda and Ziva were tested negative for heartworms, resulting in both of them getting neutered.

There was no therapy we would have not tried on Guszti during the last half year, and though full of fears, but got him neutered, trusting it brings him a hormonal improvement. Now we are waiting for the result, patient and trusting, Guszti is taking the hardships heroically and luckily in a very good mood, which is already an enormous positive change in his case.

This week Jákfői Berci found his owner, his temporary adoptives decided on keeping him.

This week two of our protegees, Valzsan and Lali could leave the kennel row, unfortunately not towards their final families yet, but moving to a family pansion – waiting for the dream owners’ call here.

Hippi found his owners, our ex-protected Keszi and his owners became his final family.

Radír was found by the animal protectors of Vác besides the railway, to his extreme great luck he was spotted on time, hence not injured. In the past he was used to guard a plant for many years, but his owners did not need his service any more.

Pili came to our care from an animal protective organization, with a huge need for activities, extremely hyperactive and jumpy, this way we will search him a sporty adoptive family, going a lot on excursions.
