What happened at Futrinka on the 42nd week of 2015?

The team of kutyatrening.hu has again given the possibility to our chanceless mixtures living at Tárnok to take part in the kennel row dog school, hence participating in a 5-week long training every Saturday, together with their volunteering trainers.

Dachshund rescue is over a really wonderful week this time, finding adoptives for two of our stucked-in protected ones.

Satu had not been with us for an extreme long time, but regarding what a great dog we are talking about, he was not really queued for. This week he was one of the fortunates leaving us.

Virsli is one of the great surprises of the week, as he once arrived at our care without fur, having a really serious demodex infection – now he could leave his temporary adoptive to start his real, owned life.

Petúr had also been waiting for an owner for a long time, and even if having a really good time with his temporary adoptives, it was high time for him to move – in this our Austrian partner organization, ACA Austria has helped him, and not only him…

As the family would have liked two dogs, meaning besides Petúr they have also chosen another chanceless mixture, Ékszer – she could also travel as a mate for Petúr.

From among this group of chanceless mixtures Felicity King, the white teenager also left us for an owner, a really loving family.

A dog also arrived to us, Everest, the giant baby, having a Great Dane Mom and an unknown father – but most likely he was not a small one either…meaning Everest will also grow big.

At the Great Dane breed rescue Denali moved to a temporary adoptive. This is a great help for us and the dog as well, as he is able to learn a lot of new things the kennel row cannot show him. We do hope this will be an icebreaker move and several others will feel like becoming a temporary adoptive. As the cold months creep nearer, this grows a more and more serious and acute question with all of our protected animals.

The vizsla breed rescue is over a highly intensive week now, with good and bad things alike, but overall dominated by moves. Mr. Samu got into our care more than a year ago from his previous owners with a given reason behind. There was only one serious problem with him, but that one a vicious circle, endangering the people living with him as well…He did not belong to the easy types, was afraid of violence, of someone getting hold of him and limiting his freedom, may that be even just putting a collar on or a routine check-up by the vet to such an extent that he acted agressively, was growning, snarling, trying to bite. He has gone a long way, has changed a lot lately, has let almost everything be done by those whom  he has got to know and accepted. And finally with the help of a foreign partner organization of ours, Vizsla in Not he has also received the chance for a new family that he had deserved so much, he really worked for it.

Éliás weighed hardly 17 kg upon his arrival, literally meaning he was just skin and bone. The vizsla guy, estimated around 2 years of age had almost nothing to eat and drink, having a tiny shelter called „home”, living in his own defecation…His body was full of fleas, having wounds all around, due to starvation his liver was damaged, his ears had already started to rotten due to his bad blood circulation and his living conditions and also had skin fungi because of his weakened immune system. Now, after about a month he weighs 27 kg, gained 10 kg in just this short period of time, got also ready for becoming owned – this week he also flew out to continue his life in a loving family.

The weekend meant besides Éliás and Mr Samu also the departure time for Boróka, Sarolta, Biga and Piszke – all of them found their new families thanks to our foreign partner organizations.

Boróka, the third member of the B-babies found an owner, like did Búzavirág and Babér. Their three brothers, Bóta, Baksa and Bekő are still waiting for their future owners.

Sarolta has arrived at our care with her mate, Sebes from the Ajka animal protectors. Sebes has a candidate as well, soon he will also move to a family.

The stories of Biga and Piszke are very much alike, they also arrived almost the same day into our care. Biga had been left by his previous owners in the heating sun tied to a pale by a rope linked at his penis.

Piszke has arrived to us from the Pacsi Shelter of Hajdúböszörmény, left alone in a yard, chained, the chain cutting deep wounds on his neck – luckily his wounds were not permanent

We had serveral veterinary rounds this week, meaning P.Füles, Csibész and Dórika could undergo neutralization after the routine heartworm tests.

Sebes also needed to see the vet this week, his neutralization seams needed to be removed.

The heartworm test of Milos also proved negative, he underwent neutralization and after the operation could recover in a warm place. He moved to an owner, waiting for him very much already.

Zemlin had been waiting in our care for the dream family since April, this week also proved a lucky one for him – he moved to an owner now

From among the three M-puppies, arriving at us with a serious skin disease, two have already found a loving family, not meaning a great change for them – their temporary adoptives decided on keeping them. This week the third baby, Maggie also became owned – also this time the temporary adoptives decided on her stay.

János vitéz, the wire-haired Hungarian vizsla had arrived at us from his previous owner, this week finding a loving family.

Szimba moved from his transitional to a temporary adoptive, to wait for the final owner here.

We also had two arrivals this week, Peggy and Casper, both puppies found in the countryside, we only suspect both of them being the „extras” of non-wanted breeds. Both of them are infected by parvo virus, which means a great danger even for the immunized puppies, the rate of survival is very low even with them. But Casper and Peggy had not been immunized, not having any vaccinations, this way we can only hope that their strong bodies are able to fight the virus. On the day of their arrival they immediately received the vaccination against parvo, then its repetition, and from this point on it is really only the fingers crossed that could help them.

Károly bácsi has caused a great fear this week, got lost during the usual afternoon walk – luckily the following day he was back at his adoptive, in perfect condition.

Two sad pieces of news also this week. We had to let Róza mami go…

Vajda, the GSP paralyzed for his backbone trauma unfortunately cannot stay at his current place any more, will get back at our care.
